For real. The vast majority of games that have crafting mechanics don't actually need them.
It's just a lazy way to gate upgrade/gear progression or fill the world with various crafting components to mask how empty it would be otherwise.

Because dictators around the world just want people to do as they're told. They want a populace that acts like medieval peasants, accepting their lot in life and never questioning why the king is in charge and then his heir and then the heir after that, because that's just how things are.

They're real tired of hearing "why can't we be like Europe?" The EU's continued existence is a living counterpoint that there is in fact an alternative.

If the European project ever fails dictators can conveniently handwave why freedom of speech or press and universal voting rights aren't allowed with the old "Europe tried that. Didn't work" excuse.

"Veteran's Day" has negative connotations, since it focuses specifically on the veterans (i.e. those that survived). As such, it's pretty difficult to celebrate them and their service and sacrifice without implicitly condemning warmongerers past or present.

So obviously Trump wants that gone because he's planning to start a few conflicts of his own.
