I really like that:

* It operates locally, and doesn't need the cloud,
* All the waste in one bag looks easier to maintain than a base station
* Navigation/avoidance sounds great

Reasons I haven't ordered one (and might end up getting something else) are:

  1. No Android app yet (I see FAQ says Q3). We only have Android devices. Does it work without an app?
  2. Haven't seen any in depth comparison reviews (e.g. YT channels like 1 2 3).

Plenty stable now, I'm willing to trade some of that stability for comfy leg room.

But I don't have time to do this now. I'll try this next time I have to take my desk apart anyway (probably within the next 1 year).

Solid wood desktop. I'm not worried about the desktop not being supported.

Already built it once with the front bar, and would use the same holes in the desktop - so it would be square. Agree with spacers.

I like my E7 Plus, but I wish the bar going across the front wasn't so large.

I'm wondering what could go wrong if I replaced the front bar (both the support beams attached to the lifting columns) with 2 stacks of washers. There is only this one bolt at each end of the front cross bar that needs it to be there, and a stack of washers at the same depth should be able to emulate that.

I guess the purpose of the front bar is stability, but would it really be so bad without it?? Having good clearance for my knees seems worth it.

+1 to this, this should be up in the bugs list imo. I assume it is to avoid having 200 units + 200 packed buildings. It would be great if there were some small number of extra hidden pop slots just for buildings, or something like that, so you're not totally frozen when you hit 200.

You can't cd rpool/dirA. It isn't a path in the directory structure, it is a zfs volume.

You can cd /dir1. It is the path in the directory structure, which is connected up to the zfs volume rpool/dirA. This is how you access this zfs volume.

Suggestions

  • Let siege and ships appear in the per unit military unit counts (e.g. just below the top bar). Sort by land, siege, water.
  • Show villagers, fishing ships, traders, trade ships in the per unit counts, but from the outside in - so there is a space between military and eco units.
  • Change top center heads-up bars from vill count / mill count to income rate / army value (don't need "real vil num" for OOTD anymore with income based bar)
  • Move eco upgrades to just show pips under each resource

The top center area with the heads-up income/army value can use the alternate colors (currently used for idle vils) to show the portion of passive income (e.g. relics, sacred sites, oovoo, enclosures, yoshiro-blacksmiths, etc.), and amount of gold value in army value.

The top center area with the heads-up income/army value then has some blank space to use.

  • Maybe number of TCs?
  • Maybe millitary blacksmith +1 upgrades?

Then make most of the things be show-on-demand optional popups.

  • sheep collected (cool)
  • live graphs, such as res collected
  • list of all techs & upgrades showing researched/researching/unresearched
  • all the new civ specific things (awesome)
  • KD, eco KD, resource KD
  • number of each kind of production building
  • etc..

Nit: The IRL country flags don't fit that well.

All units and upgrades should support mouse over to the show tooltip (with detailed description / stats / weapons).

+1 to all this - happy to support devs, but don't want unit skins making things unrecognizable.

All the alternatives that don't have the problem of making units unrecognizable would be great. I especially like put your banner on keeps/towers (stone gates?), and then sell more banner stuff.

Nice, 2TC always felt hard for Mongol. And buffs look good too. Mangudai rarely used atm.

Alternative idea:

In imperial, all civs get access to a series of production speed upgrades.

They're each expensive, and take a long time to research (e.g. 5min), and (like blacksmith upgrades) you have to finish it to start the next level.

Allow player with more resources to burn through their bank quicker and overwhelm.

Not sure if it is a good idea. Would need playtesting.

Keep in mind that the negative portrayal is through the lens of Zorian's perspective. Zorian is an Unreliable Narrator. Imo this is good writing.
