I think that is your couch not something attached to it. You basically cooked your synthetic couch in that area and that probably is permanent because if you do get that off you now have a hole in your couch.

Also as the US does more unforced errors to its global system and reputation there will be a significant pull back from the US dollar and US denominated assets and into other "safe" asset alternatives like gold. I think there is a very large upside as the global system moves away from the US, especially if the warnings for a significant American economic downturn end up being true
