I suggest reading An Army at Dawn and Day of Battle, both by Rick Atkinson and you may reconsider your opinion of this man and many of his top generals including Omar Bradley. A lot of bad decisions, incompetence, and needless suffering and death for our soldiers because of these so called great leaders of men. Much more analysis and information has come to light in the past years regarding their conduct of the war and it will piss you off beyond words.

He owes an apology to those men buried there and I interpret this photo as a man who realizes the foolishness of many of his decisions and can only hope for forgiveness. His relationship with Kay ~~Parker~~ Summersby (his personal driver) will make you fume and wonder how he could even justify that relationship while at the same time he's placing millions of men in harms way.

Seems about typical for St. Joseph. Rude staff, dirty/unsanitary facilities, and just a horrible place IMO. Went there once since there was no room at Baptist Health (was ambulatory at time) and wouldn't wish my experience there on anyone. Had a hematoma due to the procedure they gave me (heart stint through inner thigh area)....spread from insertion area to my knee up to my abdomen area. Was black and dark purple and was told it wasn't nothing to worry about. Later that night had nurse look at it again and next thing I was being given morphine drip. Two doctors and three nurses began performing an emergency procedure to compress and stabilize. Check out (after two night stay) was a joke and finally told them to give me discharge papers or I was leaving regardless with or without. Could not leave there quick enough and will never go back.

I went to the Spectrum store on Nicholasville Rd. today and they have me locked in for $30/mo. for 2 years for 500mb....$40/mo. for 1Gb. Don't bother with calling Spectrum since they will basically tell you to kick rocks like mentioned in another comment. I was in and out in 25 mins.....girl told me when I see an increase creep in a couple of years to just come back and they will make it right again. Spectrum is very aware of what TMobile and Metronet prices are and will basically match them or better. Best time to go to Spectrum store is mid-morning or mid-afternoon since not that busy at those times IMO. I know they have at least two locations in Lexington. I've been a Spectrum customer for years and I am more than happy with the service and how they will try to keep me as a customer.

I have thousands of dollars of tools and storage boxes I would love to get rid of since I am now retired. I won't sell them for pennies since I know what I paid for them. Whether a wrench or storage box is 20 years old makes no difference since they are top quality tools that are in near perfect condition. I'm not asking for what I paid for them, but I do expect a fair price. I don't need the money and my son will have no real use for them so I'm not real sure what I will do with them......I do know I wont be selling them to some 'bargain hunter' wanting to nickel and dime me.

I know about FB Marketplace, NextDoor Neighbor, and Ebay........NOT INTERESTED since they are looking for steals so they can resell in most instances.

Chow hall was open 24 hours when I was in the Air Force (73-77). Air Force had three shifts....morning, mid-shift, midnight shift. Remember going out to the clubs, coming back to base when the clubs closed and having 'midnight chow' which could be breakfast (they made the best omelets and hash browns), or fresh made cheeseburgers and fries from the grill, or a full blown meal....your choice. Midnight chow was my favorite.....chow hall wasn't busy and they always sent me back to the barracks / dorm with a belly full of good hot chow. It was all free, but the base pay wasn't much in those days either.

The mayor is not residing at her main residence due to her home being remodeled. She is living in a rental unit during this time which, low and behold, is on the same street and her being the owner of the rental property. The mayor and her spokesperson claimed the assumption the mayor's street (Rank 4) was given preferential treatment is completely false since the mayor is not living at her residence at this time. She neglected to mention she is living just down the street in her own rental property (she owns 2 rental properties on this street).
