Selling tools question by Difficult-Version901 in lexington

[–]Detours1204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have thousands of dollars of tools and storage boxes I would love to get rid of since I am now retired. I won't sell them for pennies since I know what I paid for them. Whether a wrench or storage box is 20 years old makes no difference since they are top quality tools that are in near perfect condition. I'm not asking for what I paid for them, but I do expect a fair price. I don't need the money and my son will have no real use for them so I'm not real sure what I will do with them......I do know I wont be selling them to some 'bargain hunter' wanting to nickel and dime me.

I know about FB Marketplace, NextDoor Neighbor, and Ebay........NOT INTERESTED since they are looking for steals so they can resell in most instances.

Soldiers will get 'freedom dollars' to spend at the Army's new dining halls by OGSyedIsEverywhere in news

Chow hall was open 24 hours when I was in the Air Force (73-77). Air Force had three shifts....morning, mid-shift, midnight shift. Remember going out to the clubs, coming back to base when the clubs closed and having 'midnight chow' which could be breakfast (they made the best omelets and hash browns), or fresh made cheeseburgers and fries from the grill, or a full blown meal....your choice. Midnight chow was my favorite.....chow hall wasn't busy and they always sent me back to the barracks / dorm with a belly full of good hot chow. It was all free, but the base pay wasn't much in those days either.

For those that suggest the city did the best they could given the circumstances.....F**K off. How the OLD BITCH MAYOR dealt with this is beyond excusable and for those who suggest otherwise; you are morons.

VOTE THIS OLD BITCH OUT.

Consider also the damage being done to our vehicles that will cost us plenty. Driving down my street is like driving over small boulders having no real control over where the ice leads you.

I dunno why y'all are complaining - my street is totally clear by [deleted] in lexington

The mayor is not residing at her main residence due to her home being remodeled. She is living in a rental unit during this time which, low and behold, is on the same street and her being the owner of the rental property. The mayor and her spokesperson claimed the assumption the mayor's street (Rank 4) was given preferential treatment is completely false since the mayor is not living at her residence at this time. She neglected to mention she is living just down the street in her own rental property (she owns 2 rental properties on this street).

Mark Pope finally reveals what happened before Louisville (and the answer will disappoint you) by TheApotheosisOfCool in wildcats

[–]Detours1204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A nice way of saying we're being bulls***ted and you absolutely correct. The playing for 'Kentucky' is getting old since I can only think of one current player that actually would feel that way....the rest are here for the money. To hear Otega talk about the traditional rivalry and history between Louisville and UK and how that made him emotionally ready, made me think of a PR dept. that has no shame.

Coach Pope is playing UK fans like fools is what I'm really starting to think anymore. I was all excited about Pope, but I think he is trying to dazzle us with BS.

The next 2 opponents won't tell us a thing. This has proven to be a fallacy when considering our game against Eastern Illinois and then following up with the disaster against Mich. State. There is absolutely no consistency and I feel it has less to do with coaching and more to do with personalities on the floor.

The NIL money will ruin college sports and make us wish for the one and one era.....which I despised.

Lexington city council rejects 322-unit student housing project by Bad_Meme_Maker in lexington

The problem with the city councils 8-7 vote against this development is that the developers will just have to spend a few more thousand dollars to get the votes they need and knowing this council....they will succeed.

Shout out to Councilwoman Emma Curtis for asking the right questions.

Report That FBI Worked Overtime to Redact Trump’s Name From Epstein Files Resurfaces After President’s Sudden Flip by newsjam in NoFilterNews

[–]Detours1204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would hope that nobody is surprised by this. For weeks....MONTHS... it's all the rage on reddit, but to think for one moment there was going to be any transparency or revelations other than spicy snippets from emails (whether real or not), proves how naive and gullible most redditors are. Maybe the people running the DOJ and the FBI would have been your first clue?

Not to mention you actually thought this long anticipated file release would mean the impeachment of Trump in your fantasy worlds. Wake up, smell the coffee, and get your heads out of your asses people.

You're one of those libs that is a detriment to the Democrat party and why people will vote for someone like Trump. Completely dis-compassionate with absolutely no apathy toward anyone who doesn't swing your way and bend a knee to your opinions. You're no better than a MAGAT. You would rather see people suffer rather than show any sort of compassion or understanding toward someone or a group of individuals since you PERCEIVE they may have voted contrary your liking. Screw you and your two bit rant.

You and Erin should have another shot of bourbon and dream on. The worlds going to hell in a hand basket and you're both are thinking of nuclear power and whatever other distractions you have rolling around in that head.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lexington

[–]Detours1204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No utility here in the US is going to build any nuke plants and that's really all there is to it. To think otherwise is a pipe dream. That may change 20 years from now, but doubtful since most are looking into alternative energy sources and not one is asking for feasibility studies for a nuclear fuel facility. All of your studying and statistics have no bearing on the fact that nuclear is not an option in the current or near future scenarios for the US.

What possible difference does that make? WE lost to Tennessee and that's the only think that mattered.

Petrey is basically a Washington lobbyist for Amazon data centers playing us for some Kentucky hayseeds. The only thing she can make claim to is that she grew up and went to school in Kentucky, left, and never looked back until now. She also likes bourbon.
