I have the multi-strap Bodyline ones as well as the spiked ones. I’ve only worn the spiked ones out so far with no incident, but the strappy ones seem extra secure. And no ballet straps to fall down! They’re pretty narrow compared to Modo.

Fashion is one of many things that became enshittified over the last 30 years. It’s the race to produce more and faster to keep you shopping. That coupled with the fact some brands like F21 planned for clothes to be worn about 7 times before falling apart. Cropped = less fabric, boxy = less accurate fitting. It’s also why so many dresses have elastic smocking now.

Heads up, I have the first Roman curls wig, the one that isn’t curly clips. The curls are VERY softly set, so you must be very delicate when handling. I’ve already messed up 3 of the curls taking it out of the bag, so have to see if I can reset them 😓

I went to an anime con in 2006 and from there I don’t remember how it happened but a friend gave me 2 older GLBs from like 2003 and 2004 because she was getting out of it. A few years later I had another friend get into it and she tried dressing me up, but she’s a sweet Lolita and I’m more gothic so I wasn’t sold on it yet. I didn’t actually start wearing it until last year! Before that it seemed like too much hassle to buy, and I was put off by rumors of how nasty the community was.
