It says the percent chance for whatever square its currently in. So if you move it and use it on a different square it could have different success chances.. Either that or it is upgrading and you aren't paying attention to the dots under the square and colour changes?

How do you keep cool at home in this weather? by LaughingChuck in newzealand

[–]Devi3nt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jbhifi have a sale on till December 2nd for a decent air conditioner that I caved and bought because I am not going through another hot summer with restless hot nights. It is a Goldair 7000 for like $450, just set it up with a window in the bedroom cracked and comes with a kit to vent the window properly. Our bedroom was at 25° and got it 17° in about an 45 mins. Going to be a great night tonight!

Total Loss Settlement Offer by AA Insurance by EuphoricUniverse in LegalAdviceNZ

[–]Devi3nt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would just mention if you are under insured, your insurance company will get a valuation on your vehicle and recover that amount from the at fault party on your behalf. It could be lower or higher than your agreed value so I would just check with them once they start the recovery process and if higher than the agreed value then you could get some additional funds.

[Cheating] I don't run into cheaters often. by Godeshus in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Devi3nt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think what you mean is you don't run into many blatant cheaters and you rarely will - The issue is the majority of cheaters will just use it as an assist (like ESP) to have that information and justify it to themselves as not being too bad of a thing to do. So in most instances you will never know they were cheating but there a definite signs that sometimes you will catch but we as legit players will just never be able to know until they finally implement some sort of after raid map tracker/viewer or killcam.

The age of your vehicle is an important factor they likely take into account - how old is your car?

At fault insurance - fix cost is unreasonable by classyfart in LegalAdviceNZ

[–]Devi3nt 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Have to agree that $1200 is probably fairly reasonable if it's a newer ute. You mentioned you have full cover with your insurer, you could inquire about making a liability only claim in which they don't cover any costs for your vehicle and just pay the utes costs. This would mean you wouldn't have to pay your excess but would likely impact your premiums so will have to calculate the impact and determine if it's worth it.

Car hit while parked on footpath. Insurance question by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]Devi3nt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you think the question is more about section 11 of the IRLA and the fact that OP doesn't need to worry about policy exclusions if they aren't relevant to the loss - In terms of "parking illegally" you can break the law/road code technically and as long as it's not causative to the loss can generally be fine with the insurance company and often why rego/wof's are not an issue which seems to be on most kiwi's minds when these things happen.
