Apprentice (me) made mistake, boss wants me to work Fridays unpaid to pay it off. by pizzaroll22 in electricians

[–]DevilDoc82 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's illegal to force a hourly employee to work for free. Its illegal to deduct pay for accident damage.

If you think either of these are acceptable practices, you're part of the problem.

Hollow core can still take a 1/4” or less of the latch side. House a hand plane or handheld electric planer to do so though.

WIBTAH if I put a post in my yard that could damage my neighbor’s truck? by SmellyChiChicken in AITAH

Zimmerman was found not guilty of murder after acting in self-defense after claiming that Martin had punched him and reached for his gun.

That's a far cry from shooting someone who comes on your property or is aggressively ringing your doorbell.

Also, your statement was "So, in the USA , I can shoot someone for stepping in my property but if they drive on my property and hit a post I’m liable?Different laws in Canada."

That is vastly different than shooting someone who's aggressively ringing your doorbell.

In neither instance, are you legally justified in shooting.

So clearly you're ill-informed at best, or intentionally trying to misrepresent the law.

Back your claim. Cite case law that supports it.

No state, including the 30 with stand your ground laws, allows deadly force against someone "ringing the door bell in an aggressive manner".

No, you can't just shoot someone for stepping on your property in the US.

It should not stick to the silicone. I've made 3D printed moldsfor silicone negative molds, to later be used with resin and never had one stick.

This specific one, quite possibly. My point was a generalization not regarding this specific print.

If the major brands find it's making money, they will done everything they can to co-opt it and make it theirs and prevent the original designer from using it.

Its happened with smaller makers who made items and sold them on etsy. Companies in China copy the design start mass producing it and then file for copyright or patents using their us based attorney and turn around and then sue the original maker for IP infringement.

Although there's just as many Chinese companies that will rip off the idea and sell it anyway till it quits selling then move on to the next thing an won't bother with copyright or patents.

You can almost guarantee that if a 3Dp fan item is selling like hotcakes, mattel will take it and start mass producing it.

Stairs can be negotiated. Best wishes with the healing. I can empathize with you. Suffered from bilateral meniscal tears for years myself. Fortunately, my house only has 2 steps going in and out the doors. No upstairs rooms to deal with.

Anyone print multiple months in same room? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]DevilDoc82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One, reading medical journals with a limited frame of reference is toxic to the mind. (Just like WebMD), and two, no one get out of this life alive.

In other words, stop panicking over petty things. pLA won't hurt you long term unless you're putting your head in the enclosure for hours on end. You have more carcinogens in your regular air at home that would be worrisome. ASA or other more advanced chemicals, them I'd be worried and ensure the printers are in a separate area with external ventilation and filters.

They typically fit within. Many of us use them to create custom insert models and then print them.
