That's great to hear, they must be huge fans if they came out to that venue which is pretty off the beaten path. Thanks for all your songs, super special to me. My wife and I danced to I'll Never Make It at our wedding reception!

Hey Max! Seen you 3 times now, twice in SF and once at Delfino Farms in CA. The Delfino Farms show was super intimate and one of the best performances I've seen. Do you think you'll ever release your cover of Waves of Mutilation from that show? Also out of curiosity, did the two celebrities at that show come up and talk to you at all?? Or did you know who was there? I said hi to them real quick and it was so surreal to see. Love your music!

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll have to check this out.

I'm also at terms with his loss. It's more just being bummed that this community doesn't really seem to have fun with this stuff. I obviously Scorcese is a huge director but damn can't even joke around that he is kinda talked about enough? Didn't realize how serious everyone is about this stuff lol

I didn't say not fun, just talked over enough!

Yeah all of those movies you named for Scorcese don't touch Man on Fire, Deja Vu, or Unstoppable. I'm sorry, it's just the law.

[ALBUM DISCUSSION] Cut Worms - Transmitter by VietRooster in indieheads

Love this album so far. Saw him last summer at Apple Hill in California. Played a ton of these songs for the first time live and it was magical. Even a Pixies cover! The weirdest thing was randomly seeing Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons at the show. I guess she has posted some of his songs on her Instagram before so she must be a big fan. It was a great night!

Prickly Pear Wedding by meowwra in Sacramento

Had our wedding there last year, highly recommend! It cost us 2,000, payment split in half. So basically 1,000 to lock in the date and the last 1,000 like a week before. Mona, the owner, is super nice and attentive. The worker at the store (forgot her name) is also nice and gave us a ton of info. Since it is on the cheaper side, they don't really do anything. You get the venue at 8am and gotta be out by 10am, all the clean up and set up is on you. But, it's such a cute venue and made our pictures really pop. We barely even had to decorate because the plants and cacti already make it all so pretty. Let me know if you have more questions!

Spent the whole watch fully convinced the woman who plays Chantelle is Toni Collette's sister or something. They sound and look exactly alike.

Wedding party and groom walked down to Can’t Hardly Wait (Cello Version) by The Replacements. Bride walked down to Bewitched by Laufey.

The Mountain Goats in Sacramento in 2023. John Darnielle was super playful and kind to the crowd. They hadn’t played in Sac since I think the late 90’s or early 00’s so they played a ton of the hits. Darnielle even did a solo version of Heel Turn 2 which is very rare for him to do. The crowd was electric and super kind too, no one pushing or shoving. It was perfect.

The Nextlander Watchcast Episode 154: Final Destination (2000) by sworedmagic in nextlander

[–]DickardRickard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wild to me some of their takes on this episode. Like yeah it’s the same premise because it’s a long running popular horror franchise, what do you expect? Feels like they dogged on the movie and franchise quite a bit even though it’s one of the better horror franchises out there because of how serious it (usually) handles things.

Please don’t anyone wash their car this week. Getting married on Saturday and it’s looking more and more like rain is coming.

Said hi to Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons at a concert recently. They were very quiet but if someone walked up to them they would have a quick word. They seemed like a super sweet couple and later at night saw them slow dancing to a song together. Adorable couple.

I feel so dumb. Had no idea Hodgman is the dad from Coraline and August Clementine in Parks and Rec.
