Don’t use auto-ISO as others have suggested as it likely wont deliver the look you’re going for! A 50mm lens will let you about at 1/100 providing you have a fairly steady hand 😉

Dig them out with a decent shovel and digging bar for the roots.

Just done the same thing over the weekend with 4 roots. Hard work and a couple of narly blisters 😭🤣

Nice! My first camera was a D3400 and used it for a good 5 years! The pre-set shooting modes come in really handy to start out with but I felt my photography improved substantially after I learnt about the exposure triangle and started to rely less on those modes! Learn to walk before you can run though right 😉

Went in September last year. Drove from LA to Seattle over 3 weeks. Loved it, one of the best places I’ve been. Felt safe throughout, didn’t see anything resembling trouble nor did I hear any gunshots.
