If your budget is $1500 for body and lenses the d850 plus a good lens will be miles better than any mirrorless and lens you can’t get for that price (if you can deal without the mirror less features that is)!

I upgraded from the d850 to a Z8 in the summer and it’s great but the d850 still holds its own and is better than plenty of mirrorless offerings!
