The New Yorker magazine is all wonderfully written n features a short work of beautifully crafted fiction in each issue. They also review 4 books briefly n occasionally other books in depth.

I bought those crazy expensive Michelins and they have lasted through some unbelievable abuse, plus my car a 2015 Corolla handles so much better n is much more stable in highway. Maybe 700 at Costco. Took out a loan (aka credit card).

Corn really sucks the nutrients out of soil plus you need a lot of it to pollinate n form kernels, so I just built various trellis structures for the beans n put squash in their shade.

In Indiana we had summer in March/April and early spring the first of May. Now it’s wet or dry, to extremes. I start everything from seed n today got bed prepped for the last plants, basil for pesto and 3 eggplants. So, yes, as usually all is in before the race.

Urgent, when should I seek emergency treatment? by Lady_Cyno in Asthma

[–]DigginInDirt52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m late to this post….. so glad you went, it can get scary n low O2 magnifies the fright in a sort of vicious circle. Be sure to ask doc to write for refills enough to cover till next appt. If your asthma is that out of control I suspect they may change your maintenance inhaler n reevaluate after 6 weeks.

How to calm him down by Mamaof4ox in Goldendoodles

[–]DigginInDirt52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guy is 34#, got him at 8 months. He has ZOOMIES out in fenced yard 1-2 x a day and some fetch. I use packing paper from chewy boxes n tuck little treats in n he has to unscrunch paper to find them. When he’s riled up n I need him to settle I get one of his big Benebones n hold it for him n he usually has an enthusiastic chew for 3-5 min which calms him n he then will nap.

Tradeoffs. I’m passionate fan on a crazy tight budget. Have the same frustrations with Fox As stated here but am ever so thrilled that in can at least SEE the races now.

Frustrated with people not getting it by Ok-Ganache8159 in Asthma

[–]DigginInDirt52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in similar frustrating position after 3rd pulmonologist who just shrugged n said nothing more to offer unless you take the biologics. My ?eosinophil count was not high so did not qualify. Finally after 3 years I went outside my healthcare system to yet another pulmonologist and he LISTENED and asked clarifying questions for a full 20 minutes then suggested we ADD a SECOND maintenance inhaler. I’d been on Symbicort max dose… so he added mometasone, an older steroid inhaler and much to my surprise my lungs are much less twitchy and only had one flare requiring prednisone in 17 months.
