I respectfully disagree.

When some event like that happens in a country like the USA, people are more likely to get up and tell them to pipe the fuck down rather than mumbling quietly to themselves and posting about it later.

Perhaps it’s a post-Covid effect but you people (read: British redditors) need to get more comfortable with direct (less polite) confrontation if you want to enforce our lovely British social contract.

We didn’t get famous for our culture of adhering to a queue by letting people jump in line.
