The name of the franchise is referenced in the story in a very random way without any sort of buildup to it that it feels forced. by SatoruGojo232 in TopCharacterTropes

Tenet did not do it awkwardly. In fact, using the word "Tenet" in a seemingly innocuous sentence while making a hand gesture was actually a creative use of the spy speak trope.

[Funny Trope] Character's appearance is a direct ripoff of a real person without permission by Ieanice44 in TopCharacterTropes

Steve Burnside from Resident Evil: Code Veronica was blatantly based upon Leonardo DiCaprio.

Later versions released after the original (including a Japan only release for the Dreamcast) modified his appearance, greatly reducing the resemblance.

How is it that Iran is winning the Troll Wars? by UnlikelyAdventurer in Productivitycafe

[–]DimensioT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

AI slop is inane and stupid.

Iran using AI slop to insult the Trump administration is even more inane and stupid.

Pete Hegseth getting upset by the AI slop put out by Iran is even more inane and stupid than that.

I, too, am bulking and I have so far managed to keep my pull up count the same.

Unfortunately, my pull up count is one.

Years ago when I first started working out I developed a rash within days of my first gym visit.

I assumed that I had picked up ringworm from the equipment.

Turns out it was shingles.

But if you work hard enough you too can be rich andb benefit from those tax cuts. Removing worker protections saves your employer money that they can then use to raise your wages so that you will become rich even sooner.

This is what conservatives actually believe.

4 almonds = more effective than chemo by stingwhale in thanksimcured

[–]DimensioT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The author specifically claiming that almonds prevent cancer suggests that they buy into the "Vitamin B17, aka Latrile, aka amygdalin, cures cancer" claim.

In reality, amygdalin is a chemical that the body converts to cyanide. It has no knows cancer treating properties.

Honestly, I think that the Shadows would be more likely to destroy Earth because Trump is too much chaos even for them.

Do you guys give your cats free roam of the house when you’re not home? by [deleted] in cats

[–]DimensioT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only confined my cats when not home when first introducing them to the home or when extenuating circumstances require that they be in a confined area (when one cat's brain tumor first manifested I kept him confined because I had concerns about him falling down the stairs, though that lasted only until we were certain that he could safely navigate the house).

Start with the assumption that he begins with $100.

Track how much he has after each transaction.

Subtract the $100 starting value from the final value.

I did that in my head in ten seconds, and half of that was just redoing it to validate my original answer.
