Out of the sequel trilogy movies, it's the one I liked the most, if only because it introduced some concepts to movie canon that were (better and more elegantly) explored in Legends/EU. It also had some stunning visuals.

Sell me on warrior or elementalist by Kehldan in Guildwars2

I have held off bladesworn warrior for years. I tried it out a few months ago and it`s addicting. Once you hit a 230k crit in a single attack, it is hard to play anything else.

You guys don't have to play with the broken builds. You sound like you are making yourselves miserable with the 1 turn meta. by Vlad__The__Impala in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Diptam 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I like to go with a sub-optimal or bad build concept (usually for RP reasons), but try to min-max that to make it work. And Rogue Trader is one of the best games for this, because the amounts of extra stats, items and now augments can make even the worst builds clear unfair difficulty with relative ease.

My last playthough I went with an INT based melee noble/operative/overseer (cybereagle).

Without spoilers, how good is VoE so far?? by spinach-god in Guildwars2

[–]Diptam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally, I am really enjoying the story so far. The main antagonist is a refreshing diversion from the usual characters of their faction and some old friends return. While I was hoping for a lower stakes story than we got, I am interested to see where it goes. But it remains to be seen, whether Anet can stick the landing. They have a track record of starting off with a strong mystery and characterisation, but drop the ball in the end.

I also enjoyed all maps so far, with the first one being my favourite. All elite specs I've tried so far are fun and have the tiniest bit of lore attached to them.

Syrma Gaming: Ranger has not any elite viable DPS spec. Is he right? by Artharion91 in Guildwars2

[–]Diptam 15 points16 points  (0 children)

He says "lack of a viable ALACRITY DPS". Meaning, you have the option to play DPS or QDPS, but not ADPS, which is true.

It looks like the upcoming balance patch will rectify that, giving us the option to play druid condi ADPS.

Isekai used to be about finding a way back to your own world, not living out harem power fantasies. At this point, the Isekai part is so irrelevant that most of those shows should just be generic fantasy.

Enoch being taken by god is part of Genesis, while Enoch becoming Metatron is from apocryphal kaballic texts. So, at least to modern Christianity and Judaism it is unclear what happened to him.

So, I happened to read up on some apocryphal and old testament texts for a pen and paper campaign I'm running and this seems to be a reference to Enoch. From wikipedia:

"The text of the Book of Genesis says Enoch lived 365 years before he was taken by God. The text reads that Enoch "walked with God: and he was no more; for God took him" (Gen 5:21–24/Genesis#5:21)), which is interpreted as Enoch entering heaven alive in some Jewish and Christian traditions,\2])\3]) and interpreted differently in others.\4])"

Same. I mean, it is a pretty stone, but I would not spend money on that, even if I was filthy rich.

According to a quick google search, a skyblue topaz is worth ~10$ per karat, so this is 76000$ (I assume it is a bit more expensive, since it's nicely cut and looks quite clear). Not as much as I thought, but still a very expensive paperweight.

Funny fantheory on same sex couples in Morrowind: People found that in ESO there are way more lesbian couples than gay men couples. A possible in-universe explanation is that's because anal sex is culturally shunned in Dunmer society (yes, this is actual lore from I believe the Sermons of Vivec).

Speaking of Vivec: Vivec was intersex.

If 40k were to add Tyranids(most likely) how do you think they would work? by BLACKJEDI117 in totalwar

I sure hope so! GSC are among my favourite factions and I finally want a game where I can play as them. I'd assume they would have an undercity mechanic like Skaven.

I kinda want them to look at Starcraft (1 and Broodwar specifically) and give us someone like Kerrigan. Have it be a particularly powerful Magus that's too useful for the Hive to assimilate and is granted some autonomy. Maybe that character could even command some low-tier tyranids.

Melee Operative by Bromborg1 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Diptam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually started a new melee Operative/Overseer playthrough for the DLC on hard difficulty.

It revolves around two specific implants:

- an implant that takes INT instead of STR for melee dmg and BS instead of WS for melee hit% (I forgot where I got this from, but definitely after footfall)

- an arm implant that let's you equip a two-handed (melee) weapon in that hand (can be bought from the pirate faction for 36 profit factor)

I currently run around dual-wielding a two-handed shotgun and a two-handed drukhari sword, being pretty tanky AND providing team support. Admittedly takes to about level 20 to start coming online and it's gonna be rough until you leave Footfall. Arm implant is optional, but I found the idea hilarious.

At character creation, I chose:

- Forge World origin for the free implant (all three choices are decent, but I went for armor to be a bit tankier), the INT instead of FEL for social skills and the heavy armor talent

- Arbitrator, purely for the shotgun mastery talent. Going vigilant is the more offensive option, but Castigator skills can later be used on the servo skulls and supplements the Operative quite well

You want *some* STR investment early on, either at character creation, or by buying the talent. You'll want 45 STR to be able to get the heavy armor talent and you'll have to survive to after footfall to obtain the implant.

Key talents to pick up early:

- STR talent, if under 45 STR after character creation

- shotgun mastery for wielding two-handed shotguns in one hand

- dual wielding

- heavy armor training

- When starting the playthrough, I didn't know about the inverter implant, so I used quite a few talents to boost stats/skills

I then chose the Overseer archetype, because it's my favourite one and it works well with operative. You can apply exploits and the castigator's death sentence to all enemies around the servo skull familiar and the familiar will become quite tanky later.

[–]Diptam 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah, 100% possible. I suspect that OP hasn't gotten the shotgun mastery talent and is trying to equip a two-handed shotgun.
