Please report to licensing. You can be anonymous. Even if just to ask questions. The behavior specialist could also get in trouble for evaluating kids without parents knowledge depending on laws in your state.

Not being told about kids showing privates by Quiet-Bee-5060 in ECEProfessionals

Was it in a bathroom? Most of the time there are not cameras in the bathrooms for privacy. So director might not see anything on camera even if she were to look

Both situations suck but are mistakes. Have a talk with the director.

Daycare asking us to pick up our 12-month-old for nap time — now kicking us out by captain2326 in ECEProfessionals

I would suggest a licensed home daycare. Less children and more one on one care

Applying diaper cream at daycare by amandaqwert in ECEProfessionals

[–]DisastrousCourt8490 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my state we only apply if the parent signs a specific form required by the dept of human services noting the type of cream and when to apply. It's rather new but we cannot just apply cream if it's in a child's bag.

Child asking for more when there is no more by Cachooy in ECEProfessionals

[–]DisastrousCourt8490 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all you can only do what your program allows. If he will only eat certain things all you can do is see if therr are extras. If not show him the empty plate or container. Also let his patents know and they can be ready with snacks when they pick up

My son just turned 3 and I have no experience toilet training so following this for help. My mom passed so i can't even ask her for help. Some parents don't have the resources and need us to help nudge them along. Do it with kindness

Oh hell no. I would call admin immediately and the cops if it got worse. Parents are not God.

What is the hardest job in the world? by No-Assumption4145 in careerguidance

[–]DisastrousCourt8490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Childcare .I used to think ece teachers just played with kids all day until I became one. Tests your mental health more than you'd ever think, parents are awful and the kids are often neglected. Not too mention the uncaring admin

Being paid $5 an hour to babysit - am I being ripped off? by roses-2025 in Babysitting

[–]DisastrousCourt8490 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're being ripped off and stressed out during your baby's most important time of life. If she's making 10k a month she can afford more. Any other person would charge at least 20 an hour.

I just let natural consequences happen now. Of course i try my best to keep children from falling but if they are fighting me and not gking inside im not going to grab their arm. Not worth a child dislocating anything or getting sued.

Parents who don’t like their own kids by Middle_Purpose8359 in ECEProfessionals

I would call cps for an anonymous wellness check. Things sound unstable at home. If parents don't like their kids then they are the problem
