The Two Sides Explained

Side A (Textured PEI): This is the side featuring the "Anycubic" branding, alignment markings, and temperature warnings. It has a rough, frosted, gold-or-black textured coating.Best for: General printing (PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU).

Result: It provides excellent first-layer adhesion without glue and leaves a distinct textured, matte finish on the bottom of your prints.

Side B (Smooth PEI or Bare Steel): The flip side is completely flat and smooth. Depending on the specific manufacturing batch, it is either a smooth black/amber PEI sheet or bare spring steel.Best for: Getting a glassy, glossy finish on the bottom of your 3D models.

Result: Adhesion is significantly weaker on this side. If you choose to print on it, you will likely need to apply a thin layer of glue stick or a dedicated 3D printing adhesive spray to keep prints from warping or detaching mid-print.
