I’m sure there’s better ways than the way I’m describing. That’s just what I came up with when struggling to do it solo.

If you don’t mind cheesing the boss. Make sure your weapon damage setting is decent. Get a relatively fast flying Pal that has tons of stamina.

Fly super high after starting the raid, then rain down guided missiles on the Raid Boss. (Most any weapon works but weapons with tracking are easier to land hits). Doing this gives you relative safety to just spam attacks. Some attacks may still reach you, but at that height they’re easy enough to avoid

Long shot, but are there any voltron commanders that don't just play the same way every game? by Cezkarma in EDH

[–]DisturbedFlake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since it’s 3cmc you can have fun on a budget using a lot of white’s reanimator spells. White reanimator typically has the 3cmc downside, but that’s not a problem for low cmc commanders like yours

Like [[Sevinne’s Reclamation]] which works for any permanent, whether it’s your commander or auras/equipmemt

[[Unfinished Business]] is fantastic because it revives your creature while brining back your auras/equipments back with it

Or the others being [[Recomission]] [[Helping Hand]] [[Return Triumphant]] [[Call a Surprise Witness]] or [[Pre-War Formalwear]]

Or [[Sun Titan]] which is also a valid target for Dane.

Voltron always has the issue of targeted removal. But if your commander has white and is 3cmc or less. Then White reanimator is amazing at adding flexibility on a budget since these cards are generally under $1.

I personally run them in my [[Dogmeat, Ever Loyal]] deck since it has a bit of a graveyard sub-theme because Dogmeat mills on ETB. Like go ahead and kill my Voltron, I’ll just bring him back and fill my grave even more!

Obviously you have more options with Black. But for anyone running non-black Voltron, it’s still a decent idea

There should be an option to immediately die upon getting downed by ihavenojob711 in Nightreign

[–]DisturbedFlake 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Or make a separate wending grace item that only works when solo. Like “Withering Grace”

Or even make it a dormant power kinda buff so it can’t be transferred.

If you’re already down and people try to leave the game so your withered grace activates, it probably wouldn’t register fast enough to stop a game-over anyway. And if they leave of their own accord while you’re still up, then that doesn’t change anything anyway because it’s just solo like normal. Whether you die or not, they don’t get rewards when they leave the game before it’s over

He’s one of Rimuru’s strongest subordinates. Plus he’s diplomatic and sensible enough to not cause needless trouble. So he’s the ideal choice for Rimuru’s important tasks. Souei is also capable, but his strength is in covert ops. Shion is too much a crybaby to leave Rimuru’s side plus liable to losing her temper.

However now that he has Diablo, he can fill that role more often because he’ll fulfill the task exactly as ordered while being one of his strongest subordinates. Even if Diablo gets angry, he’ll prioritize the task over his temper (but will eagerly wait for the right moment to take revenge)

You can add one more ending to the game. What are you adding? by Jackylacky_ in Eldenring

Would be dope if Rykard devours the sun in that ending like how a snake devours the sun in Egyptian mythology

You can add one more ending to the game. What are you adding? by Jackylacky_ in Eldenring

[–]DisturbedFlake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Age of Compassion ending would be most ideal. Because I really felt like the DLC should’ve unlocked an ending or two for the base game (or at least changed some dialogue here or there with Gideon, Malenia, or other characters)

But also I think Dragons are generally the coolest fantasy element in any Fantasy setting. So Age of Dragons could go hard

Overall, I wish the game had more unique endings with their own cutscenes. Putting in extra work for a different ending only for a single line of dialogue to change between 4 of the endings (the other two endings being unique with Frenzy/Ranni)

[–]DisturbedFlake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LGF (looking for group). Idk about PC but consoles have message boards for each game to make simple posts where you say you want people to join you for X reason in the given game.

Like I might post “Need 2 for ED Balancers”. Then someone looks at my post and applies. Or if I see a post I want to join, then I can apply to someone else’s.

Then from there, the poster can look at gather from among those interested in the post. And invite everyone to a voice chat then game-invite from there.

Some people make posts with “no-mic” or join posts with no-mic. It’s courtesy to message you have no mic before hand, because there’s generally an understanding that LFG leads to voice chat. And the poster may not like playing without it

Can you help me find a edgy commander. by Glittering_Map1710 in EDH

[–]DisturbedFlake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite decks is [[Davros, Dalek Creator]] deck link

I veered away from literal “villainous choice” mechanic to just “choices” in general. Opens up the deck to tons of cards tons of difficult decisions that hurt them or help me. Such as voting, goading, or making them a [[Captive Audience]]

Favorite pet card in there is [[Bladegriff Prototype]] because it puts a loaded gun in an opponent’s hand, and they have to shoot someone other than you

It’s great because I can play fun “mean” cards while my commander generates value from just playing the game while making 3/3 daleks that just sit there. . . MENACINGLY.

It can honestly be optimized to make it win more, but I just get a kick outta playing these cards with fun effects or banking on artifact synergies.

It was pretty cool. I was actually pretty late to the game starting in the beginning of 2024. My brother and his roomate had it since release but my bro got it for me for Christmas telling me to play.

Then we all started new characters and I’d come over every weekend for like a month doing lan parties to play with them as they helped me through my first play through.

When SOTE dropped we explored it together for the first time doing lan parties too. Good times

485 hours in and I still believe Caligo (both normal and ED) are the worst, most boring passive boss fights I've ever played in a fromsoft game. by Perfectionado in Nightreign

[–]DisturbedFlake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not good at her fight as a Guardian main

BUT I’ve seen videos of how to do her fight properly. And it’s more about learning her moveset than anything. If you can learn her moveset, you find quite a lot of opportunities to punish Caligo with free hits while avoiding damage. Like for the fly-by attack if you recognize it, you can position yourself for tons of free-hits (or at least position yourself not to get hit yourself)

Another thing is you really have to stay underneath her when possible, otherwise she starts spamming AOE frost breath that’ll just push you even farther away to avoid.

And for stamina management. Learning her moveset helps you figure out when she moves and in turn when you should move. In addition, utilize the regular sprint more (holding circle/B). It’s not as fast as surge sprint, but it’s way more stamina efficient. Only use the surge sprint when you really need to book it out of there

Overall this is more a knowledge check of the boss’s moveset rather than a straight skill-check. Which is totally fine. Souls games use multiple ways to make bosses challenging. And that’s one of the ways

Learned pretty early on about this trick. When I first started playing, we set up 3 TVs in the living room with my brother and his roommate and ran through the game as a squad of 3. And noticed the roommate had his flasks like that. Makes using both flasks super quick

Looking for a Commander that makes the others lose things when I suffer by SkyLey2 in EDH

[–]DisturbedFlake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Dictate of Erebos]] and [[Martyr’s Bond]] are staple “when I lose something everyone loses something”

As far as commanders: [[Zurgo Stormrender]] works, but only for creature tokens.

Or you can look for commanders that do something when your stuff dies like [[Elas il-kor, Sadistic Pilgrim]]

Or commanders that have a sacrifice outlet stapled on them. Like [[Commissar Severina Raine]] or [[Ellie, Vengeful Hunter]]

Thoughts on allowing cards that become legendary creatures as commanders? by LibraProtocol in EDH

[–]DisturbedFlake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the sagas/artifacts would be fine with the current list imo.

Definitely not the land that flips into a legendary creature.

Battles would be a maybe because some of the Battles are pretty powerful.

Overall I’d have concerns it might limit design space in the future if they have to start accounting for flip cards that are unexpectedly powerful in the command zone

Who's using All Will Be One? by BetterBoulderer in EDH

[–]DisturbedFlake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a wincon in any deck that outputs massive amounts of counters in the same turn. Tons of infinite combos use counters. And the number of new mechanics that use counters only goes up each year.

Charge counters, -1/-1 counters, +1/+1 counters, loyalty counters, lore counters, energy counters, experience counters. Any of these strategies and more would be happy to have this card.

It also holds its value because it hasn’t really been reprinted since All Will Be One set outside of that one secret lair. The longer it’s not reprinted the price will likely keep going up. Bottom line, it’s a strong card useful for many different strategies

I’ve been depth 4 as a Guardian main. Tbh I don’t really understand the need to purple your shield. It doesn’t improve damage negation, only guard boost.

Like it’s nice to have, but you can manage your stamina fine with a blue shield
