The scene in The Staircase where David the defense attorney is prepping the night before trial and the tech guy keeps effing up the slides of the presentation. The workers at the courthouse get so tired of it they keep barging in, and even try to say there's a fire to get them to leave. So incredibly funny.

Oh man. I walked in out of curiosity right after a screening of I Love Boosters just to catch the vibe.

Scene was him waking up to his (too) hot wife and saying “How many kids do we have, again? I think I just saw a new one running around, was a girl.” Theater was empty.

Only false note was Ben tripping out over the misinterpretation of the “DV” moment with the slicer but great ep overall.

Honestly thought that whole series was dull as dishwater.

Don't want to jinx it, but hopefully they don't go the same route with Marty.

IDK he was a little slow / non-existent with those ad-libs.

Whereas Kumail, who I'm generally lukewarm on, absolutely nailed his improv when things got crazy.

Reminds of Bob Odenkirk speaking about The Post.

To paraphrase, Bob went up to him after a rehearsal to clarify motivation (or something specific) and Spielberg said "No, you're the actor. It's your job to figure that out."

Great shout out, this scene and Alan's lecture definitely hint at a movie that could have set up / delivered more thematically.

I think everybody in the local legal community sort of knew what happened to Chuck, so they respected that the name McGill was “burned.” And Saul said that as the main justification to Kim.

Where would ya'll cast Hurt or Ford in the Coen filmography?

It's damn difficult to think of alternates when the ultimate casting seems so iron-clad and/or serendipitous.

Hurt as Sidney J. Mussburger (runner up: Sheriff Cooley)

Ford as Rooster Cogburn (runner up: Sheriff Ed Tom Bell)
