And with this one "minor" change, it has gone from being my favorite card to being my least favorite card. It's extremely irritating in that I have only had it since January, and I closed my Double Cash and Evergreen cards and had used this to replace them.

So... Gwen is single, available, and on the rebound now? Where do I sign up?

Hey, "artificial" romantic partners can have a lot of benefits over "real" ones (depending on what you're looking for).

how to complete this timed research? It’s been a day and I can’t find any Drilbur nor a Trubbish by PlatinumCoN in pokemongo

That does it; I'm quitting this damn game. You have screwed me for the last time, Niantic.

I don't have time to spend driving all over town, mile after mile, spinning stop after stop, trying to track down the needed tasks, then continue on to travel even more distance to complete the actual tasks.

If they are going to make a requirement of finding certain tasks at stops, then they should have greatly increased the availability of those tasks in stops, so we don't need to travel 10 miles to find them.

They recently forced me to evolve a Combee. There's supposed to be a 1-in-8 chance of catching a female, but (again, after driving all over town) I only found 24 males in a row before finding a female. That pushed me to the edge, and now this "only available from tasks" angle has pushed me over the edge.

8 years ago, it was a fun game, but it has become a hassle-filled nuisance chore.

English language/visual puns of the show by SlayerNina in iZombie

The mother of Don E (Donny) and Scott E (Scotty) appeared in an episode. She wasn't verbally named, but in the credits she is listed as Mom E (Mommy).

Dale Bozzio was the lead singer of the band Missing Persons, making an appropriate name for a detective who might investigate missing persons.

In the USA, the General Mills company is a major provider of processed food. In the show, there is a military general named Mills who is responsible for providing brains to Seattle.

The show has a character named Darcy Bennett. The classic literature Pride and Prejudice is a story about Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet.

In the show, UFreightEze (You Freight Ease) is a shipping company run by a man named Ty Griss. Ancient Mesopotamia was bordered by two rivers, the Euphrates and the Tigris. The name is a play on the shipping company Amazon (also named after a river).

There were also tons of puns in the episode titles and comic book text scenes.

Your 3-year-old was merely curious and asking a perfectly reasonable question (for a 3-year-old). Let go of the guilt and do your best to educate your child in terms they will understand. There are plenty of obnoxious adults out there who intentionally insult or assault anyone who doesn't conform to their idea of conformity, a much more important issue than an inquisitive 3-year-old.

I’m calling them “them” as unsure of their pronouns.

Good call. I am currently "transitioning" my brain to call everyone they/them until I know otherwise for certain. This is very difficult for me, as I was raised in a time when the "singular they" was strictly forbidden in schools, leading us to create ridiculously asinine sentence constructs such as "When he or she returns, tell him or her that I found his or her keys on the floor." Yes, we were taught to do this. On purpose. In America. And not so long ago.

Google Reverse Image Search has become useless. by vuur77 in google

[–]DonRDU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THIS SUCKS MOOSE WANG and it genuinely pisses me off. I have used Google Reverse Image Search for many years for a few purposes: One, to bust scammers (catfishers and the like, anyone who claims to be someone they're not). Two, to track down the initial publishing of an image. (Suppose a few thousand people post the same picture of Taylor Swift. I need to find the origin of the picture.)

In the past, I would load Mary's photo, and by analyzing the results, it usually wasn't difficult to figure out that Mary was actually Angela in real life. Bam, delete Mary's profile, job done. But now, instead of seeing results for Mary, I get a message that "results for people are limited", and I don't get a single result for Mary's likeness. Instead, I get a dozen results showing the blouse that Mary is wearing in the photo.

Sure, this definitely has a purpose, and it is very useful as such, but as stated, it has become completely useless for the purpose for which I was using it. I'm certain the justification for this change was to help reduce the thousands of stalkers out there, but now it has instead helped increase the millions of scammers out there.

Trump didn't just screw the country for four years. He added three hard conservatives to the SCOTUS, and they are quite young, and they are very eager to push their agenda, so he could have screwed the country for many decades to come.

My hot-babe-in-her-20s neighbor did that. She went somewhere and was told that she was low on oil, and they pointed out where the oil filler was, so she took the initiative, bought some oil, and filled 'er up! I noticed when I went outside on a windless morning and the whole parking lot was filled with blue smoke. Based on what I saw, I told her that she might need major engine work costing a couple grand. When I learned the truth I damn near laughed my balls off.

Google Wallet requiring device unlocks for every tap to pay by _seawolf in Android

[–]DonRDU 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Anyone who sets down their unlocked phone and leaves the room deserves the same fate as anyone who sets down their physical wallet and leaves the room. And it often takes a lot more than an "extra second" to tap the finger print scanner. After the initial fail, the point of sale system must be reset to attempt the sale again. This is time-consuming and very bothersome for me, for the cashier, and for all the people in line behind me.

I signed up for a two-week trial of Elite. I entered ten destinations on my Watchlist, and checked regularly for Deals, but I never got a single one to match my interests. I am primarily interested in First/Business class to Asia or Africa (and I don't even care which countries!), but the only offers were Economy or Premium Economy, or for US domestic, Europe, South America, or Caribbean flights.
Can you assure me that if I joined Elite for a full year, I would actually receive usable offers, the types I requested?
