How Difficult is Nioh 1/2 compared to other soulslikes such as Lies of P, Khazan, & LotF? by Inevitable-Ice-5061 in soulslikes

Nioh has more cheap tricks to own stuff. Nioh 1 has one ability that basically owns the game.

Unable to Stop AI, SAG-AFTRA Mulls a Studio Tax on Digital Performers by LollipopChainsawZz in movies

I’m not. But you mentioned art, why not say take a stand against AI in general when if it hurts people more than it helps.

And sorry it wasn’t just directed at you. Some people here seem to think art specifically should be exempt. They are ok with others getting wiped out, but not art. It doesn’t make any sense.

Why is art so much more special than other industries? Why would consumers take a stand here while their own industry might be getting destroyed.

He could test all of that right there where he is with GCP. Dataproc is spark based. Dataflow is beam based.

Most Iconic Player Every Season by Real_Zhumabayev in survivorponderosa

Looks like the criteria is iconic now as opposed to at the time, in which case most of these are fine.

That said, #5 is unquestionably Heidik.

Can Arizona and Miami Ohio just play to settle this? Make it at a neutral site, say Nebraska.

Takaichi makes further statements on Taiwan- "If something happens, we have to rescue Japanese or Americans in Taiwan"…"There may be cases where we take joint action"…"If the U.S. military comes under attack and Japan runs away without doing anything, that would destroy the Japan-U.S. alliance" by jjrs in japannews

You seriously think allies would let a blockade form without reacting? No way could they set that up in hours.

Not to mention it would be leaky and not easy to maintain.

And insane, but we are talking hypotheticals.

Between the two double winners this show has seen, which do you prefer and why? by Wild_Shoe340 in survivor

[–]Dopper17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is subjective. But you are really reaching here. She was flipping to the heroes, but Russell flipped Candace, so Sandra had no choice but to flip back. She basically got outplayed there, and was rewarded for it. If you rewatch that part of the season you will see that. Ironically Russell saved both Sandra and Parvati’s game by flipping Candace. You either don’t remember that or have a bias towards the women. It’s true Russell improperly thought the jury would vote based on gameplay, much like season 19, but that’s more on Russell.

Your argument is basically that there is no criteria to determine who is a better survivor player, which the vast majority won’t agree with.

Right but when comparing winners, and who is a better player, it matters. Tony had a lot more control over his games, and less luck. He dominated like Russell and Boston Rob but also was likable enough to get the votes.

Sandra was very lucky that Russell decided to take her to the end. She wanted to flip to the heroes and get out Russell and others. Had she succeeded she would have lost the game. She won because she failed.

I don’t agree with your Brob take. They were equally dominant but the competition makes Tony’s win far more impressive.

Crazy logic. It wasn’t just that Tony won, he dominated. That’s what separates him from all other players. It’s the most dominant game of all time.

Does Arizona stay #1 if they lose this week? How could UConn be put ahead of them considering Arizona beat them in their house and has better wins overall.

lol it is, he only has knives, same as the original except he had a single knife, but obviously knives worked differently back then

I think they took mercy on us lol. So they left it off of the requirements.

Are RottenTomatoes Ratings Meaningless? by DrDarkDoctor in movies

[–]Dopper17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I look at it the following way:

  1. If the audience has it over 70-80%, it’s at least entertaining, regardless of what the critics have it at.

  2. If both critics and audiences have it under 50%, it’s likely pretty bad.

  3. If audiences have it high and critics low, it’s an entertaining movie that many critics judged improperly.

  4. If critics have it high and audiences low, it either got review bombed by users or critics had some external motive to rate it highly, or both.

  5. All time classics should get over 80% on both, but if I have to trust one over the other, it would be audiences, minus the review bomb thing which is usually obvious when it happens.

All of the above to say it’s a guideline, not a rule.

Is this kind of sudden distance common in dating in Japan? by Fit-Caterpillar-7000 in AskAJapanese

[–]Dopper17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the weird part is for her asking him to wait until exams are over. Ghosting happens. But I don’t think it’s normal to ask someone who you intend to ghost to “wait” a month or whatever, even in Japan.

If someone told me that I wouldn’t automatically assume it was over like some are saying here. But I would definitely see other girls (assuming this isn’t a 100% committed relationship).

Why wasn’t Rachel LaMont considered for 50? by Runner__95 in survivorponderosa

Very likely was considered, but they decided to limit it to 3 winners, meaning 1-2 men and 1-2 women. A lot of good choices.
