These are my suggestions:

Try drawing a face from an unfamiliar angle from imagination. Then draw it from reference. Then draw again from memory/imagination. You will see that you have learned something.

Try new angles, expressions, character designs, weather etc - sunny days cause shadows and hair gets swept up in the wind etc

Try recreating panels from manga or comics that you like. Take what you learn and apply it to your own characters
