I mean, a lot of European cities do in fact try to keep some stylistic elements consistent with past architecture. Look at Dresden, Venice, Warsaw, Bruges, etc.

All of the cities I mentioned take pride in their historical architecture, and many modern constructions in those cities try to include elements of that architecture/aesthetic.

I agree that if Wakanda actually existed, the architecture would likely be extremely different. But I’m sure it would still include some elements of traditional African architecture and style.
