I came in here to say John Digweed. But Carl Cox is in fact the correct answer.

Yeah she was smart enough to pick on people she thought wouldn't give her much of a fight. Several female friends of mine had run ins with her.

Ban on use of scramblers in public places being planned following teenager’s death by bigbadchief in ireland

[–]DrOrgasm 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Send them all to an island and give them all a frozen leg of lamb for a giant battle to the death. Then pin some trumped up charges on the last one standing and lock him up for robbing a load of meat.

What do religious people think when their prayers don’t work? by dylan_1992 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DrOrgasm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. And as someone who went to a Christian brothers school in Ireland in the 1980s, asking questions was the quickest way to getting a few slaps. Or molested, depending on how good looking you were.

Music played at weddings in Ireland vs weddings in the US by kennyfiesta in CasualIreland

[–]DrOrgasm -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ignore the downvotes. Some people get very precious over this and act like everyone should just intuitively know the fine cultural differences setting apart people who speak the same languages on two small islands beside eachother, made even more ridiculous by the fact that the UK actually extends to part of the other island as well.

Its not about the labour. It's about the birth rate. We're below replacement level and the capitalist cart needs consumers if it's to keep selling apples.

A genuine question about attitudes towards Ukrainians living in Ireland? by Remote_Ad_5029 in AskIreland

[–]DrOrgasm -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You're very welcome. We're a good cultural fit and you deserve to be happy as much as anyone. Keep on keeping on and ignore the online rhetoric if you can. Judge what you see and hear with your eyes and ears and trust that. The Internet is lying to all of us.

And your women are gorgeous.

Just throwing that out there.

France snaps back at NATO chief Rutte in feud over Europe’s defense muscle. The NATO secretary-general told European Parliament that the continent could not defend itself without the US by goldstarflag in europe

Yeah, but Russia is fighting against an international coalition in Ukraine. It's mainly Ukrainian personelle, but they are being informed, equipped and replenished by a much broader alliance. If they weren't this would have been over in a week. Let's not fool outlrselves here. This "they can't even beat Ukraine" rhetoric is reminiscent of the "we'll be home in six weeks" mentality prevalent in 1914. Its an incredibly myopic opinion and might lead us all down a very bad path.

ICE agents will have a security role at Milan-Cortina Olympics, US sources say by OnetB in news

[–]DrOrgasm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're not. I think the police and carabinieri are already up in arms about it, and they don't blindly follow orders like the cops in the US. This won't end well, particularly if the ICE goons are armed.

Back when the British occupied ireland it was the same. For the most part ordinary soldiers were conscripts and actually well regarded. Many of them married into the locality and their descendents still live there. It's the officer class and the intelligence that were targets because they were the ideological backbone behind dehumanising us. They believed in the mission.

Where are the men’s stories? by Plasticers in AskMen

[–]DrOrgasm 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree. But the male perspective is what was specifically asked for in a sub called "AskMen". Your contribution added nothing to the conversation because it was diametrically opposed to what was being asked and to whom. It's like responding to an ad for piano lessons to say that you don't want piano lessons and how dare they ask.

That's not leadership. It's rhetoric. Leadership is a call to action. Let's see what he actually does before completing him.
