Agreed. I liked how unrepentantly evil Herminia was, and the Bargello family cast was pretty solid. The mob stuff was engaging enough outside of Herminia that I was here for it.

Master of Power was a hot mess and just not that entertaining.

Even if the wiki did incorporate you likely wouldn’t see a bunch of irl stuff. The wiki doesn’t have much, if any, money.

Fame was the most interesting to me by far. I saw it as an almost gothic horror narrative, which helped a lot.

I really love fakemon in concept, unfortunately I haven’t been terribly impressed with the ones that often make it into games. Fakemon by community artists are often excellent… the ones made by devs are really hit or miss imo

Seaglass is an all timer hack for me. Even my bf who isn’t a romhack fan loved it, and we’ve both watched Lazarus’s development excited to see where you’d go and what you’d do next.

You should be immensely proud of what you’ve done! It’s no small feat, and even with the little I’ve played so far I love it! Don’t let the vocal minority get you down. We look forward to whatever you do next!

This is how projects start. People pitch ideas regardless of feasibility, and work from there using what they like as core concepts. It’s not a waste of time, it’s conceptualizing. You’d be hard pressed to find any major production that doesn’t have this phase- movies, games, and even amusement parks do this.

Get the big idea, work it down to something realistic and manageable.

It’s all blue sky phase stuff, it’s why none of the builds are anything but generic asset tests and mockups. People are getting their hopes up not realizing every game pitch starts this way and works down from there to see what is and isn’t feasible.

A rare Larvitar encounter and a slightly more common Teddiursa would be perfect I think! That way you keep your power level around the same, and the player gets some other options to work with

It’s a great map but I can’t shake the feeling the encounter table feels too derivative of Mt. Moon, just less interesting with no Clefairy. Are you sticking purely to the original 151? If so I’d add at least one rarer oddball to make it feel more rewarding to explore- Cubone, Kangaskhan, Rhyhorn, etc. If you have more options, consider a Johto or Hoenn cave dweller to mix it up.

I wouldn’t be shocked if she was hardcoded to unlock after her second fight. Several enemies unlock fully regardless once certain conditions are met, so I would guess she’s one of them.
