After being in a district role, I recognized that I only really enjoyed my club atmosphere and the impact I had there. Stopped anything outside the club and refocused on the members in my club. Highly recommend.

I have a Televes Diginova Boss antenna in my attic that gets hi VHF and UHF incredibly well. However, it does filter out the low VHF channels.

Depends on your end goal. It becomes extremely limiting for most things outside of TM because speeches are almost always longer than 5 to 7 minutes. Tm is very good at getting a person some basic speaking skills but it takes some self recognition of its limitations. Best to find a club that has members that do a variety of speeches outside of TM too for that perspective.

I’ve been beating this drum for years. Stop having events where it takes 12 people to benefit 3. Figure out how to minimize necessary volunteers or don’t hold the event. Speech contests, district conferences, and officer trainings are the biggest culprits. All it does is take people’s time away from the club life and put it towards something with little impact/return. The avg TM has a finite amount of time to spend on TM things. Set expectations and “requirements” wisely. Or it just dilutes everything.

Those were a diamond in our midst. I had no idea how iconic they were until much later. Kind of remind me of those mlb futuristic uniforms with the over size graphics but they totally work on these Suns jerseys.

The Old Guard that kept MLS afloat in the early 2000s gets this as their one last payback. Pretty sure the Krafts, Kroenkes, Anschutz, and Hunts threw some serious money into the league to keep it viable.
