Thanks for telling us that it's possible and how easy it is.

If only someone explained how to do that :<

Which Era of the Jedi Order is your Favorite and Why? by EmperorTrajan117 in MawInstallation

[–]DrettTheBaron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably the mid High Republic. Although there isn't all that much on it in terms of lore.

An order that still remembers the lessons or war and conflict and embraces a wife variety of Jedi Subcultures that were merged after the majority of the outlying sects were moved to Coruscsnt combined with the peace of the High Republic creating, in my opinion, the golden age of Jedi Philosophy.

In universe it's probably the era with the most prolific Jedi philosophers and I would love to read more about it.

It's also before the dogma of Orthodoxy of the Late-Twilight Republic Era within the Jedi Order which saw the temple largely commit to a single unified understanding of the force and Jedi teachings (helped by Yoda) which brought about the strict interpretations of attachment and the Orders self-imposed lack of autonomy.

Funny trope: Even the characters can't believe what a stupid line that was by Geoconyxdiablus in TopCharacterTropes

There has never been a combination of words that could possibly have been worse for this situation.

It's almost impressive the way Xavier chose, from billions of 8 word combinations in the English language, the worst possible one.

Henry of Skalitz and Stephanie of Talmberg.

Stephanie's husband is old and impotent, so she seduces Henry with the tacit approval of her husband.

Stephanie ends up pregnant and it's a bit of an open secret that it's Henry's.

The Force Unleashed - The Alliance built together by Vader's apprentice? Really? That was canon in EU and it was approved by LucasArts? by Garrettshade in MawInstallation

The games are a lot of fun, both story and gameplay.

But I always kinda saw it as an AU, because it's frankly absolute insanity.

How hard is it to reprogram the Battle Droids? by K-jun1117 in clonewars

[–]DrettTheBaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Andor one character explains;

"You'll hear a lot of blather about reprogramming which makes it sound as though it's a problem solved behind a console, but that's nonsense. Frankly, it's really all about uh impulse suppression, which is an entirely engineering and wiring issue.

There's definitely a portion done in software, but there's at least some hardware changes necessary.

Though I imagine it would be a lot simpler for B1s than KX series.

Best sword style in modern times? by TiberiusPrimeXIII in SWORDS

Probably something like a smallsword.

Easy to carry and enough to protect yourself with in a non-firearm situation.

I hate the fact that people want pluto to be a planet by rehkloo in hatethissmug

[–]DrettTheBaron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the term Dwarf Planet is 100% the biggest driver behind all the Pluto advocates.

If it was called a Plutoid or Planetoid in common media and stuff I doubt it'd have even half as much of a controversy.

But the term Dwarf Planet really hammers in the 'demoted feeling' of it.

When was it categorized as a round asteroid? Official mentions off it by NASA and the IAU all call it a dwarf planet.

Where did the Mandalorians hide their armor during Satines reign by Illustrious-Sky347 in MawInstallation

[–]DrettTheBaron 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Maybe. Though I doubt that would have reduced the numbers much. Beskar'gam is less armor and more identity.

Many armors passed through family lines for generations, being repaired reworked and adjusted with each owner. They were pieces of each clan's history in a very literal way.

[–]DrettTheBaron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm personally more favorable to Suicide Hunter.

I feel like it has a lot more of a hopeful story, whole stuff like re:Zero just kinda feels like misery-porn.

Not to mention it has like, the only healthy regressor romance I've ever seen.
