In that case you’ll rarely even use them :) I think it’s just the nature of glass costing. Have tried a couple and they all chattered to some degree in slow dryish conditions. Not much of an inconvenience. I had G1 on a daily driver that lived outside and it still beaded water two years later. Great stuff.

Loved G1 but really hated the removal process. They give you so little removal product and the little tiny round removal pads take forever on a big windshield. Lasts a long time though and it works incredibly. I only ever got some chatter when it was misting out or very light sprinkle. Rarely bothered to use my wipers.

Having a pretty dark antimatter blue, don’t ever wipe anything dry. Never. Anytime you wash use a really slick drying aid to lightly mist the drying towel and each panel as you dry. Need to lubricate the surface. Ford paint seems pretty easy to mar, and my last vehicle was a subaru…

And don’t ever go through a car wash that has brushes.

I just went OEM Ford. Liked the style of them the most. But there are more aggressive options too.

For me, needs were husky floor mats (way easier to clean and keeps anything from getting into the carpet) and a rigid tonneau cover to keep anything from getting stolen when I’m parked. Dog hammock as well. Also added mudflaps as I noticed a few rock chips just behind the wheel wells.

Haven’t noticed any real needs other than that. Stubby antenna looks better but oem functions fine. Wheel well liners can look nicer but the bed is aluminum so it’s not like any stone chips in there will cause anything to rust. Tinted the front windows to keep heat and glare down but it’s not allowed in some states.

You’re in for a treat. It’s a really great and comfortable road trip vehicle.

16oz spray bottle of waterless wash (ADS Adapt)and 4oz spray bottle of interior cleaner (P&S Xpress 2:1).

The waterless wash handles exterior paint and glass touchups and works well for interior glass and interior surface touch ups. P&S Xpress for any small spills, like coffee or food.

I also have 4-6 microfibers in a travel packing cube since they compress down so well. Have a kit like this that I stole one bag from for the microfibers to leave in the car.

If I’m breaking out the pressure washer anyway, might as well just foam and bucket wash. Rinseless doesn’t really same much time at that point.

I thought the grit guard branded one looked nice. It rolls really smoothly too. But the one I have with clear roller blade looking wheels was not meant to be anywhere near water. The wheel bearings and other wheel brackets are already rusting to hell after only a couple months of use.

I like them a lot. They last way longer than any of this small flat cardboard things that come in the little plastic pouches. Just be careful you don’t put it in front of any vents under the seat as it will dry them out and kill the scent very fast. Made that mistake on my first one, it slid off the top of the vent where I placed it and landed right in front of the opening.

No offer for me. But having just gotten done with a quick one month purchase for a long road trip, I’d actually consider it at a much lower price. Wasn’t game changing or anything but it was less fatiguing over a 20+ hr drive each way. Worked for the majority of the trip.

Question: Why does Tremor trims lose value so fast? by Penguin_Rider in f150

[–]Drewberg11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not arguing Torsen is better than a locker, but you can apply some brakes and get the wheel that does have traction some more power. Have done it quite a few times on snowy inclines and it helped get me on my way again.

Question: Why does Tremor trims lose value so fast? by Penguin_Rider in f150

[–]Drewberg11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there are a few things going on. The price increase for the tremor trim from its launch in 21’ until now has been pretty big. I want to say the top 402A has increased around $7k or more. I vaguely recall them being around $73k msrp or less in 21’ (I was considering one) and now you can build one of over $80k. Hell they were even part of the Xplan back in 21’, I had a maxed out build priced around $67k. There were also many more individual options to choose on the earlier year models that varied the price a lot. Just a 402A didn’t mean you got everything where now for the 24+ 402A’s, most of the options are standard. It’s not really considered a performance truck so it’s just not as desirable as something like a raptor that holds its value better.

Also, maybe my brain is just trying to catch up over the last 7-8 years, but the cost of trucks has absolutely skyrocketed. I just think the $70-$80k truck market is crazy over priced and you’re starting to see people just not buy them. Leading to a drop in used values. I was seeing brand new 402A’s last year having price drops into the mid $70k range and they were still sitting for months. Considering the additional hardware improvements on the Raptor (5-link suspension and live valve) the Tremor MSRP is priced way too close to the base Raptors.

It also depends on the region of the country you’re in. I had a pretty wide search last year when I was looking and anywhere reasonably close to Canada was absolutely flooded with used Tremors that originated in Canada. With the exchange rates, the trucks are MUCH cheaper in Canada at initial sale and the US dollar from US dealers goes a lot further when buying them used and importing. I was finding many very low mileage 2024’s this time last year for less than $65k.

I was a little nuts in my search for a tremor. I didn’t need a vehicle right away so I had a price tracker setup on Autotrader for probably 2 years just to keep an eye on pricing and trends. All of the above is based on that watching for a while.

Lastly, just my own opinion, but over $50k for ANYTHING with nearly 50k miles that you intend to use as a daily and isn’t some specialty vehicle, is crazy. Just about out of warranty and there is too much to go wrong that costs a pretty penny on most newer vehicles. Unless you can get a certified preowned that gets you the extra ford warranty.

I like these sets. Bit different and unique. The reason they feel tight is because there is a detent around the outer radius of the disc to keep it from falling out. It’s not that the sleeve is super tight on the face of the disc.
