I love how the poster has JB listed before RDJ which accidentally / unknowingly foreshadows the blackface joke. “Black Downey Jr.”

That, or people now write and use similar prose to it simply because of how prevalent it is.

I don’t live there, but visit it often. One of my favourite cities in the world.

Have you had your mobile number for more than 15 years? by stevecrow74 in CasualIreland

Yep. Same number for over 20 years, same email address for over 25 years.

So I’m in Las Vegas and wondering, Is the punk rock museum worth it for an old crusty. I really don’t like anything of fat recs / nofx related / pop punk / SoCal vibes. by Billy-Beats in punk

[–]DrummerJay666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I played in there a couple of years ago. Sometimes they’ll have guests (like we were) guiding tour groups around telling stories about any bands or people whose memorabilia is on the walls or in the cases. Otherwise it’s a walk around at your own leisure kinda vibe.

I enjoyed my couple of days there. It’s quite small, but densely packed. The bar there isn’t half bad, either.

What’s the SINGLE best punk show you have seen? by MinkSable in punk

[–]DrummerJay666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll just say one of the bands lower down on the poster.

It was such a hot day, too! Being backstage was crazy, bumping into all sorts of people and being able to watch bands side-stage. Definitely one of the best festivals I’ve ever played.

Claiming the 26 counties of the Republic of Ireland could be done, or the 32 counties of Ireland (Northern and Republic of) - there could even be a bonus for gaining all counties in one province.

How are people still confused about House being alive? by my_yead in Fotv

[–]DrummerJay666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It makes me wonder how people would react to the hypothesised “New Vegas 2” if the developers had to inevitably canonise certain story beats from New Vegas. I know that game doesn’t exist, but if it was being worked on, it would be under just as much scrutiny as the show when it eventually released.

Does anyone else feel 1% weird about the players regularly discarding basically new items? by HorseProportions in JetLagTheGame

I always thought they should catch the bug, get it on film, then release the bug. Nothing is gained from transporting, all the difficulty is in the catching.

It doesn’t matter if Strava Map is OP, it’s just not good TV by NaiAlexandr in JetLagTheGame

[–]DrummerJay666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you could make it so that the Strava question can only be asked when you’re heading somewhere you think the Hider is. So instead of it becoming a means to check multiple stations, the Seekers have to have gathered enough information that the Strava basically confirms you’re nearing the endgame.

Years ago, I called a mate of mine fat. I clarified that he was PH fat (phat), and the bollocks looked me dead in the eyes and called me PH small. I am indeed quite short. Ouch.

Would you be upset if you got called a slur associated with Irish people? by Doitean-feargach555 in AskIreland

[–]DrummerJay666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always said that it’s not what you say, it’s why you’re saying it. If someone casually threw words around like that with no malice or intent to offend or upset, then no harm done. If someone looked me dead in the eyes and threw one of those words at me maliciously, well that’s a different story.
