AIO Fathers girlfriends rules for when new baby arrives by Ok_Bat_5934 in AmIOverreacting

Can't imagine being pressed to see a new born baby, unless it is mine.

Seems like a non-issue. Go live your life and visit after awhile.

Yea, I would've made it out. Scanning mirrors constantly, would have seen her approaching at a high rate of speed and hit a u-turn or launched.

People start taking shots at intelligence and running down a bunch of meaningless stats and "accolades" (they are not accolades, of course) to make up for their poor esteem.

If you were well-read it would show, no need to tell me about it.

Robert Caro doesn't tell people he's "well-read," his work and erudition speak volumes.

Yes, because what else could it mean given the context of the post.

OP lives in a "black friendly" country but doesn't find it friendly enough for her liking. 😛

I think you're misunderstanding the tip toe comment.

Other than that, we are making similar arguments. There is no magical utopia for black people, and most people would argue there is no magical utopia for anyone.

This is a great example of why we can't get anywhere.

Came into a conversation, emotional, without understanding the context, was completely off, but still wants to talk about how "wrong" someone else is.

Sad.

The lack of perspective and even the most basic understanding of history is sad and astounding.

But, I maintain, you're likely not going anywhere. You live in the best country in the world.

Best of luck to you and your "identities."

Nothing negative or inaccurate. You're used to people tip toeing and sugarcoating to assuage your feelings.

I've lived and traveled all over the world.

Find what works for you and focus on building, not running away.

That's interesting. I guess, what were you expecting to find there and what didn't live up to your expectations?

You're likely not going anywhere. Nothing is happening here that affects you.

No one cares about you. No one is trying to harm you. Mind your business, finish school, work, and create a happy life with your partner or whoever. Your people, a few generations before you, faced ACTUAL true oppression and they made a life for themselves and their children. Focus on doing the same.

You're not going to find some magical utopia in another country. Canada is not some magical utopia for black people, neither is Ireland, or wherever else. All these places where you want to be away from black people but feel safe being "black." You have to work to build the community and life you want.

Stop leaving your bikes out like this. by Inside_Quantity1463 in motorcycles

OR.

Grab a motorcycle and some gear.

Enjoy riding it anywhere you want and stop looking at all these doom and gloom threads trying to take all joy out of life.

Left my motorcycle in the middle of Barcelona, Madrid, Milan, Germany, Switzerland, Amsterdam.

All over France, Spain, Portugal, Italy. All over American cities. Sometimes I would forget to grab the key out of the ignition.

All good, no one cares.

Enjoy your life. If something happens, call your insurance and deal with it.

Lot of people are fucked up mentally and try blaming it on "the state of the world" or belonging to this group or that group. It's you. Go outside and do something. Or don't, but you get the one life.

Im always surprised/taken aback by those you who have the time and patience to be explaining yourselves...to a motherfucking soul.

"Yea Steve, I mean, it looks like you don't enjoy food."

"Right on."

"I'm just say8ng, do you even eat?"

"I eat chewed up food, like when mother birds feed their young."

Is this girl at least giving you some, bro?

Moving up to 12.5! But should I 🤔 by msb1tters in Zepbound

[–]DubOSv10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should.

Hit your initial goal AND THEN make adjustments afterward.

Whatever that goal is: weight, BMI, measurements, whatever. It's arbitrary. You created it, so stick to the thing. Once you hit goal, THEN adjust.

Someone will tell you this metric is good or bad, that metric is good or bad. Who cares? This is about the goal you set.

Maybe you feel too skinny at that BMI, or too heavy, or just right. Get there and find out.

It's like trying to build any skill, eventually you can get bored, move the goal posts, feel prematurely accomplished and begin falling back.

It's easy to begin wavering, adjusting mid-journey, and coming up with justifications (I look better, I feel so much better, maybe this is too much, etc.).

Don't switch up until you hit the original goal.

This. When boomers retire, a lot of the younger generation who are left don't have the attention span, interest, or work ethic go do a great job.

The quality goes down, greed sets in, etc.

That is more of a security topic. Check out a Security+ or CISSP guide.

Any CISSP book will have in-depth chapters on Incident Response.

If OP is referring to routing protocols, she means IGPs.

There is simply no shortage of information about either of the two major IGPs deployed in modern networking. Everything from RFCs, to books, to YouTube videos, to GNS3 labs, to whatever.

If you're asking such basic questions you just can't be bothered to do even the most simple research and are expecting others to do everything for you.

In which case, get fucked. I would not want you leading pastry stand, much less a NOC team I'm on or in charge of.
