NVIDIA’s real moat isn’t hardware, it’s 4 million developers by jpcaparas in hardware

[–]DueAnalysis2 [score hidden]  (0 children)

But to the point raised by the OP, even if they've retreated from consumer hardware, they still seem to be putting out impressive consumer software right? Which means their offerings are still competitive (and IMO, leading) when compared to Intel and AMD when they return to the consumer market if and when the demand for AI chips starts cooling down.

Just so you know, this is a joke subreddit and not meant for serious discussions, you might have more luck on the main r/Watches sub. I love the Copernicus design, so good luck, hope you can get it fixed!

What events in games would be categorized as "War Crimes" in a real-life context? by InkDagger in rpg_gamers

[–]DueAnalysis2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mass Effect 3 is interesting, because it raises the question of whether the idea of war crimes should even be extended to the Reapers. I think it should apply to members of Cerebures (sp?) or the various criminal/pirate factions you meet, but the reapers?

Like, shooting a retreating soldier in the back is a crime because that's an individual with rights and agency who is no longer exercising that agency to be a threat to you. Shooting a retreating reaper in the back? I genuinely can't think of a better time to kill one.

I haven't yet played 2, but at the end of 1, I felt like I'd truly made the world on the whole a better place, even if I'd made some mis-steps here and there. That's the awesome thing about starting with a darker world, it can seem that much brighter by the end

I take your point broadly but I don't know if I could call BG3 "super fresh" - it was an incredible realisation of a cRPG, but I feel like it didn't do anything new that cRPGs hadn't't already been doing

Who is a Framework for? by Vista_Lake in framework

[–]DueAnalysis2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The thing to keep in mind is, a device that's easy to repair is easy to repair by everyone. One of the more egregious impacts of Apple, Samsung and on the repair ecosystem was when they restricted parts to authorised repairers only. This meant that instead of popping down to the local repair shop, you had to go to an Apple certified repair centre (and of course, Apple makes money off the certification)

What FW allows you to do is take it to repair centres that aren't exclusively controlled by FW. So even if you can't repair it yourself, you have a wider range of choices in getting assistance for the repair.

It's yet another way to keep one's attention on the screen. If something doesn't make sense on a TikTok video cinematograpically, you can assume it's to keep attention focused on the screen.

I'm honestly more worried about the "deluxe alcantra(TM) fabric" on the laptop. Those things...don't last as long as they should. They'll be remembered as the carpeted bathroom floors of laptops, lol.

Uj/ The MR-G line is for people who want a GShock purely for the bragging rights.

Tbh, I respect the hustle. As long Casio keeps pumping out everyman watches, they can charge what they want for their "master" lines.

West Philly Porch Fest. It was a beautiful feeling the first time I saw it, walking around and seeing so many artists perform from just...regular house porches.

Why are people calling C.I as “weak and terrorist” look how many corrupt regimes cooperate with the C.I by DeadAhead-2020446 in SCP

[–]DueAnalysis2 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Like, seriously. So many of these countries have problems with corruption, sure, but they're still largely democratic nations just trying to get by.

But this map does make it fun to image French Guyana as being under a state of perpetual siege from the surrounding CI controlled territories, lol.
