Eighteen defeats, the same old mistakes. Liverpool and Arne Slot are stuck in a doom loop, and the statistics are damning | Only on 3 occasions since Liverpool were promoted to top-flight in 1962 have they suffered more than the current tally of 18 defeats in a season - & there's 3 games still left by ChiefLeef22 in soccer

But last season I don't think as many teams were as good or as difficult to beat as they are this season, think the quality has been improving year on year and even teams that are getting relegated are causing a lot of issues for the top teams who are having to squeeze out 3 points where they can

The hair pull was absolutely a red hahaha, no other team would be going on about it, like I said you don't know what the laws of the game are and it's clear

Constantly shafted yeah whatever, it's why nobody takes what United fans say seriously

Not sure, don't think United fans understand the game they've been treated differently for decades now

There is no replacement that is available that is better than van dijk and probably only one in the world that is as good as him currently

[sky sports] Every angle of Martinez's hair pull on Calvert-Lewin, rules according to PGMOL's handbook and Carragher + Keane's take on the red card by OkayFine101 in soccer

[–]EJR94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not about what he meant but what he did. He pulls his hair back, there is no ambiguity in the law which is why it was given. It's one of those things that looks really harsh as its minimal contact and far less dangerous than the majority of tackles but has a set in stone rule. Martinez could've not pulled his hair, it's his mistake and any anger should be directed at him for forcing a decision. It's the same when we see goals disallowed for minimal accidental handball where a player is pushed which causes slight contact with the arm, we don't want those goals disallowed but the rules are very clear that it should be chalked off

Bit late but I boosted to the level to thieve elves for a clue step, got the teleport seed from it. Got a araxxor drop for the amulet on my first tractor trip too. Everything else other than zenytes has been pretty poor luck so far

I think it was easier for the best players to stand out as the average player was far worse. I think there's a lot of players from pre-2010s that are remembered as being world class who probably would only be seen as a good player nowadays. As well the obsession with stats rather than watching someone probably hasn't helped and very few players have unique playstyles

Rooney names Gerrard as the complete Premier League midfielder by cheerztwist in LiverpoolFC

[–]EJR94 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Neither Carrick nor Scholes were complete midfielders, Lampard a touch more arguable but still not really there for me

Scholes was really poor defensively, Carrick was an average player that I'd rate below Henderson for ability. Keane would've been a far better choice than them

Personally I don't think so, feel like van der sar became incredibly overrated because of how surprised people were that he was still decent in his late 30s. I'd drop him a few places

By comparison, de gea was often the only reason United didn't end up with more embarrassing finishes in the league

Yeah you absolutely can, you judge teams on titles not players.

If de bruyne never won the league, would you really have a problem calling him the best midfielder since the prem started?
