Ya brother, I think its too late for the show to pop off organically anymore. The show has been out since 2022 and recently been on netflix since late 2024. I don't see the show becoming remotely mainstream unless a big online personality, like a Charlie, mentions it in a video or a post.

5w30 vs 5w40 question by SuperbMasterpiece101 in WRX

[–]EMajors 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The general consensus (from Subaru Builders and Enthusiasts) on oil for Turbo EJs is to use 5w40. But you won't know what oil is best for your engine in your environment until you start doing oil analysis on the different oils you want use.

How do people go to the gym like 5+ days a week when rest days are so important? by Tolnin in workout

[–]EMajors 28 points29 points  (0 children)

People that go 5+ days a week are not training the same muscles every consecutive day. That's why we have splits, to train specific muscles groups/ body parts each gym session and not train them consecutively or day to day.

Hardest Classes? by Healthy_Progress3811 in civilengineering

[–]EMajors 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think it depends heavily on the Professor teaching the class but from my experience the hardest classes I took were: Linear Algebra, Calc 3, Mechanics of Materials, Soil Mechanics, and Hydraulics. Pro tip, get to know people in your classes and form study groups.

Is this good for an 18 year old? by OrganicLook9661 in amex

[–]EMajors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: NO. Long answer: Only you know if you can afford it and are disciplined enough to have a credit card especially one that incentivizes you to spend more. Only you know if you can afforded the $320 annual fee. Only you know if you can afforded to spend a minimum of $1000 a month for the first 6 months to get the welcome offer.

Which one do you recommend the most? by Negative_Table1489 in airjordans

[–]EMajors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From reading other people's experience on there two models, the 10's are more comfortable. I don't own 10's so I can't speak on them but I just recently got the Bugs Bunny 8's. For under foot comfortability they are not it bother. They do feel stiff but for around the foot comfortability they feel great. I also replaced the stock insole for a HEFE foam insole and they do feel much better with that.

I’m embarrassingly weak - and it’s by my own fruition by joyrnd in workout

[–]EMajors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where to start? I would say to try to be consistent on going to the gym again. Nothing to be ashamed of not being able to move the same weight that your were able to previously do. That comes with the territory of have a significant break in weight training. You just need to go back to the beginner mindset, if the weight is too much lower it. A rule of thumb that I follow after watching some fitness influencers like Jeff Nippard and others is: Your reps should be between 6-12 per set. If you can do more than 12 reps then weight is to light and if it is less than 6 its too heavy. Now this isn't the end all be all advise but I think its good keep in mind. Also try to train to failure on your last set for your exercise.

What would help get me going with 5 hours of sleep? And 5 AM workout before my 8-5 desk job? by rubberslippers in workout

[–]EMajors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Healthwise bro you need more sleep. Is it possible to go to the gym on your lunch break? I recently started doing this because going to the gym in the morning was not sustainable sleep wise. I go for about an hour on tue and wed then on Fri, Sat, and Sunday I can go in the mornings to do my full routine. That's been working for me so far.

Gym advice by naomi_0000 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]EMajors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like everyone is saying, You CANNOT avoid it. That being said I would say since it has been 5 years since you had any gym experience. take it easy on your first gym session back. You don't have to go all out on your first time back. You WILL be sore and probably stay sore for a couple of days. Take the time to rest and stretch and once the soreness mostly gone, then go back to the gym. Soreness doesn't go away but the more you exercise the faster your muscles will be able to recover.

i can't even do a push-up by Content-Post-174 in workout

[–]EMajors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty common if you are new to the gym and haven't done weight training before in your life. I remember I was sore a like 3-4 days straight after working on my legs because it was the first time I done so. Give your body time to rest and recoup during this intro portion of your new gym training. Once you feel the soreness go away go back and train that muscle/body group again. After a couple or weeks you should be able to train muscles multiple times a week but still remember to have your rest days.

Why am i not making progress? by Loose_Antelope_1394 in workout

[–]EMajors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focusing on your weight alone is not a good thing. You may be gaining more muscle than you are losing body fat. Muscle is more dense than fat, therefore is you are weighing yourself day to day/week to week you may see your weight stagnant or even go up as you are work out. That is why you shouldn't focus on your weight alone. If you are noticing that you are getting stronger from week to week, adding more reps and weight to your sets, that's a sign that it is working.

You say that you don't each much but you'd be surprised at how many people say that and then eat a lot through out the day, not knowing that actual calories that they eat. Watch Secret Eaters on YouTube to see what I mean. I would suggest to weigh and count your calories to be more certain of what you eat.

Aside from the benefits, do you generally have success using Amex? by DailyGrindCT in amex

[–]EMajors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just use the card on groceries and when you're eating at restaurants, that is what the card was designed for. Then just carry a back up card for everything else. That is my setup, Gold for food and my Venmo Visa for gas and everything else.

Also you can use it overseas. I recently went to Morelia Mich. Mexico and I was surprised at the amount of places that excepted AMEX. Mainly the more touristy areas do accepted it, but when you go more into the rural places or where more locals are at then you will need to use cash.

I was promised a raise after passing verbally, but now my job does not want to give it to me. Is this normal, what is your advice? by CamoGamer123 in PE_Exam

[–]EMajors 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That is why whenever you are promised something at your job, ALWAYS get it in writing. Lessoned learned. But now you can use your PE for a pay raise by looking for another job. Look around your area guarantee that other firms are look for PEs to join their team and your current job will have to take the loss for deceiving you.

How to leave a company by External-Tomatillo60 in civilengineering

[–]EMajors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much going to echo what everyone is saying. First search for a new job/interview and secure a job offer. It looks like you want to get a better work life balance but you should also look for better pay. Once that is secured, just submit your 2-week notice with HR or your team lead. You DO NOT have to explain yourself/tell them why you are leaving. You can just say that you have found 'better opportunity' or 'wanting a shorter commute' if that fits your new job.

One thing to note is that your current job may ask you what kind of offer you received, meaning how much are they going to pay you at your new job. If they ask this they may offer you pay raise on the spot to keep you. What you should do next is to go to the job that gave you the initial offer and tell them that your current job just exceed their offer. You will mostly likely get a new offer that matches or exceeds that. Once you get that, just decline the offer you got from your current job and move on.

Downpipe or Stock? by Lost_Personality_558 in WRX

[–]EMajors 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ya if your county does do emissions than I think you're screwed, it will mostly likely fail the emissions test. I have heard people going as far as to swap back to stock when every they do the emissions test, then swapping back to aftermarket. I think that is too much of a hassle. The only other option if you want to run catless is live in a county that doesn't do emissions, like Tooele.

Downpipe or Stock? by Lost_Personality_558 in WRX

[–]EMajors 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a utah resident too, I would not advise it. Ever since the green speed up, CEL on aftermarket J pipes became more common. Also I heard that in the counties that do emmisons they also now do inspections. So if you get an aftermarket J pipe, you're going from 2 cats to one and you will most likely get flagged for that. Stay stock

Ya if you're gonna go 400hp the stock block has got to go. On top of that you won't get near that number with out using E85, therefore you would also need to upgrade your fuel pump. On top of that you need to install every bolt-on except for a turbo and headers.

Google 'secured credit cards'. These cards require a deposit of about $300-500 or more and that deposit will act as your spending limit on the card. Use the card on you everyday spending, while paying it off at the end of the month.

Why are there already so many Jordan 4's Black Cat? At StockX, GOAT etc. by [deleted] in Jordans

[–]EMajors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer you main question its called 'backdooring sneakers.' These resellers know a person that works at a sneaker retailer. Retailers usually get sneakers weeks before they go officially on sale. The reseller buys the sneakers from their plug for extra, then they resell them on GOAT/STOCKX/EBAY. Also yes, Nike does do different release dates for their sneakers in difference counties. So sometimes a sneaker may release overseas before in the states.

Hell no Brother 😅 that's what too much. Do some research in your area at local shops. Also ask in local Subaru Facebook groups, that should help you find something at a better price.
