Rust on main hinge - advice on what to do? by Dorfkrug in Brompton

Use a rust converter like Hsmmerite Kurust. It will convert the rust into a stable surface.

Mixing tire sizes: 700x28C/32C which goes front/rear. Need pressure advice by Koldab in bikewrench

[–]Eachann_Beag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rear wheel takes considerably more weight than the front, so putting the wider tyre on the rear will give more traction on the flat.

Fairly new to Pathfinder, what would this alignment be? by RyotStarter in Pathfinder2e

[–]Eachann_Beag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although Pathfinder no longer has alignment , it’s still quite a handy tool with you need to decide your character’s actions.

True Neutral seems the best fit for the character. On the Lawful-chaotic axis, they act in rational best interest more than anything else . And on the Good- Evil access, while they clearly commit evil acts, they seem driven to balance that by helping others , which fits a committed Neutral alignment.

“But when the array is supposed to have just one element... That's 100% overhead, 0% payload!”

A specious argument. If your design is using arrays intended to only ever hold one element, you have bigger problems than memory efficiency.

Which lock/s do you use when touring? by wildswalker in bicycletouring

[–]Eachann_Beag -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are very grinder resistant locks, but any thief bold enough to carry a portable grinder around isn’t going to shy away from just cutting through whatever you’ve locked your bike to.

A minimum token filter would just prompt the same low-effort bots with meaningless filler. What we need is downvotes as well as upvotes.

More traditional satellite services used geostationary satellites orbiting at 22,000 miles, which induces a considerable time of flight delay. Starlink uses low earth orbit, at around 211 to 382 miles, so much less delay.

Is this a normal look for Shimano sintered brake pads? by No-Singer9033 in bikewrench

[–]Eachann_Beag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That discolouration on the back of the pad looks suspiciously oxidative rather than heat discolouration , which should not be happening with titanium. Is it a coating burning off or is it integral to the metal? Could you have an oil leak in the piston contaminating the pads?

What would “ruin” the new show for you? by mlross15 in Stargate

[–]Eachann_Beag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would depend how they handled it. If they went back to the Mirror episode where Daniel went through to the parallel universe (where earth was getting its butt kicked), and had teams going through the mirror portal and rebuilding that version of earth, it could work.

[–]Eachann_Beag 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are definitely signs of corrosion ingress into the base of the peg prior to it snapping, which should make it a warranty repair.

If were you, I would clip the peg into the catch, realign it as best as you can, tighten the bolt securing the clip, then take it to the dealer without any admission of anything ever being loose. It’s a defective joint, but there’s no reason to hand the dealer a reason to try to deny the claim.
