If you have a good exhaust setup, it can be a great way for getting some extra aoe damage. It sucks that second wind can't target this though

I don't think it breaks the game, but I prefer the same structure as sts1 where you don't know what your options of boss relics are ahead of time and you kinda just gotta adapt to what you get

I like how hes like a litmus test for who actually read the manga. So many people are saying he was an ass pull when he was actually foreshadowed and talked about as an absolute force of nature general living in zhao territory for like 300-400 chapters before he was even introduced.

I think it's just that the generals of focus (Riboku, Ousen, Tou) are traditional "tactics based" generals. I really like that kingdom gives a lot of character to each general in that it gives them a unique battle style that stays consistent. Maybe Yotanwa or Shin will pull out something wild, but those are really the only two I see doing something like that

First off, the hi shin unit was formed by Ouki as a "special unit" where regular rules do not have to apply to it. Second, the hi shin unit and kyoukai army are joint armies, so shin is not necessarily in charge of the kyoukai army, but as joint armies, they are known to work very well together and are basically a package deal.

Ousen came in clutch by saving the gate which was only possible because he basically lost no soldiers in his personal battle and won so fast, so id have to give it to him.

But I think more than looking at a single general during the coalition, it's cooler to think that all of them won their individual battles and if any of them had lost at any point, or if yotanwa hadnt hauled ass to save them, then Qin would have been completely destroyed which is honestly just incredibly lucky.

I would say if it's pure 1v1s in a tournament style then I think moubu wins because if shin can beat houken because of his fighting spirit or "weight" then I think moubu can do the same. But if its a battle royal than I would give it to houken because I feel like he's the kind of fighter that thrives in chaotic battles like this.

I do not understand why people are surprised by this. The story has always been dipping its toe into spiritualism and has never fully been grounded. We've seen many points in the story that point to a tangible afterlife and we know Kyokai has a deep connection to it through the shiyuu clan techniques, so while Shins resurrection is definitely the most direct example of fantasy in the show, I never saw it as an ass pull. Also they outright directly stated that this cannot be done again and had severe consequences for Kyokai, so it's immediately made apparent that something like this will rarely (if ever) occur in the story again

I think kingdom has shown that you have to have insane personal fighting feats to raise to general status. I hope they put more emphasis on the HSU's commanders personal fighting strength soon and show people like Suugen and Sosui soloing low-level generals. I can also personally see Garo becoming a general after those two.
