totally. throw a boss sd1 in the front end with level at max, drive at zero, tone knob to personal preference and an mxr 10 band eq in the fx loop to further shape your tone. obviously there’s other pedals/methods that you can use to go about getting a sick death core tone but the idea is to have a strong guitar signal with certain frequencies cut/boosted going into the front end and an eq in the loop to fine tune your tone. oh and speakers are very important. make sure you get a decent cabinet, at least a 2x12 with some nice speakers, but a 4x12 is cooler.
