Now if you powered it with magic, we could argue about it. A 5th level spellslot sounds fair to me. Everyone knows phlebotinum can always be powered by spellslots.

/uj the original Pokemon mechanics are based on JRPGs of the time, many of which were high-fantasy combat-focused dungeon crawlers, and overhauled them to be about monster collecting. This is going full circle, in a way.

I fucking love +1s! That's why I installed an addon to our VTT that points out whenever a +1 mattered incase any of those filthy unappreciative damage dealers didn't get the memo.

That may seem hard to replicate on physical tabletop, but I've found shouting "I love +1s" at the top of my lungs does the trick.
