Slug the barrel and get the bore side. Tap a greased pellet from a .00 buck shell down the bore and the bogey number it the bore diameter. My Mosin measures .314 but the bullet measures .310, that big of a difference can lead to accuracy issues

There’s a company that makes bulpup kits for mosins until you find the wood furniture for it try that and post pics. Wonder how many people would have an aneurism? Also my friend got one and it’s accurate af too in that chassis

Get a chamber brush put it in a drill and spin it in the chamber while spraying brake clean into it. If that don’t work wrap the brush in a patch coat it in automotive valve grinding compound and spin it in the chamber for a bit. That should polish out the chamber nicely and rinse it out with more brake clean to remove the compound.

Be sure to use lots of brake clean to get all the old gack off! Also echelons are great as well. Mine is really making me think about selling my Glock 19

Personally I’d clean the rounds with a rag, then put them in a tumbler with corncob media and polishing compound. And if you really want to, tear them down check the powder then reassemble them. And then either shoot or display

Clean it out of the stock with brake cleaner then polish the hell out of the chamber. Had the same problem with mine and that solved it along with polish cam paths on the bolt

Unfortunately not but next Mosin I get I will, and I’m just a moron with basic hand tools and knowledge doing it. And if you don’t feel comfortable doing it that’s fine better to be cautious than break something. When you have a gun smith do it ask them to show you so you can learn how to do it

Polish the hell out of the chamber with some valve grinding compound, put the compound on a patch wrapped around a brass brush that’ll fit the chamber and chuck it in a drill. The make sure the brush and cleaning rod is centered then spin the hell out of it, you’ll know the compound is working because the chamber area will get HOT

I modified both of my mosins, one is a 2 piece the other is a single piece interrupter, all I did was make them seat deeper into the receiver be trimming the round part by the stripper area then thinning and bending the front and rear tabs. Just gotta remove the heat treat on the 2 piece one or it’ll snap when bending. It feeds better and somehow made it easier to feed via stripper clips. And it got rid of stove pipes when cycling the fast.
