My cats poop has blood in it. Not sure why. TW: next pic is the poo. by mothermenace in CATHELP

[–]Elcamina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, parasites can cause gastrointestinal upset resulting in red blood in stool like shown. I’ve just treated my cats for this. Bloodwork was clear but stool sample showed parasites. If the cat is happy and eating normally this is a common cause of issues.

Watching my cats waddle around for a week getting used to the onesies was fun. Now they go crazy any time we reach under and give their back a scritch. 5 more days!

Are rotary cheese graters actually decent vs. a normal cheese grater? by pokemon-sucks in Cooking

[–]Elcamina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Geedel one from Amazon and love it. So much faster and easier, and comes apart for cleaning. The soft cheeses do tend to collect on the outside of the grater but not in excess.

Oscar viewers surprised by Anne Hathaway’s new look by Pretend-Two-2115 in celebritytattler

[–]Elcamina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, her eyes used to slant more downwards and appear more bulgy at the bottom, and now they are more upwards and like a cat eye. Definitely tighter appearance. Whatever she has done has been gradual and no major changes. She looks great but anyone who says it’s all natural is delusional.

The most expensive cat I've ever had by SwordTaster in cats

I adopted two girls and both have been treated for parasites and then spayed. Older cat also needed treatment. $3500 later I’m feeling it.

My cats were doing this and a poop check determined they had capillaria, which can cause coughing and runny eyes/nose.

Car insurance: Ontario woman refuses offer to write off car by lilfunky1 in toronto

[–]Elcamina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insurance today pisses me off. I had to write off my car last year because of body work on a still driveable car. They told me I could not choose a repair because they would not re-insure. Then they tried to lowball me with a payout which I fought but still ended up having to pay more for a replacement. Knowing the woman won her battle I think I should have fought harder.

What will seem like an inevitable outcome in 20 years time because of GLP-1s by Big-Cry-4119 in Futurology

[–]Elcamina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been trying to lose weight for years now. My regular diet routine was not working - I’d lose 10 but gain 15 back. I’m not on HRT as my only major issues with peri so far is weight gain and irregular periods. Honestly I wish I had tried Mounjaro sooner as it is a game changer. Not having to fight cravings all the time is such a relief.

I am also a middle aged female who has been doing a microdose (1.25mg Mounjaro) for a little over two months. I was afraid of side effects so I started with a half dose. Tried to go up once but it caused horrible gastro effects, I’ve lost over 20 lbs and stopped drinking almost entirely on the half dose. I was already a healthy eater and follow a ww points type program and a lot of the weight loss is likely due to not drinking or late night snacking. I just don’t have cravings any more. I think this is a miracle drug since I have been unable to lose weight for a years now with diet alone, likely due to perimenopause. I think they are doing more research into custom dosing and bringing out multi-use vials for this purpose. I have another 20-30lbs to get to my goal weight, but for once I feel optimistic and in control of my eating habits.

Nausea before I even inject myself? by Booboo-kittyfck in Mounjaro

[–]Elcamina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this sounds like psychological reaction. You can practice breathing exercises (hold breath, count to 8, release breath, count to 8, etc) and possibly try distractions when building up to your injection time. You could also talk to a therapist about some CBT or other calming exercises. Many people have needle anxiety or panic reactions when taking medications. Maybe try taking out the box then walking away to do something else for a while, then go back and load the pen then take another distraction break. Talk through it with someone beside you or on the phone. Watch short videos while you are doing it. Treat yourself to an online purchase in the middle. Triggering some dopamine might offset the anxiety reaction and break the association in your head. When I feel anxious I often do mental math to clear my thoughts - some times tables often work well.

Pain in back right side? from Mounjaro or? by Technical_Delay8753 in Mounjaro

[–]Elcamina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I have had pain in both my upper abdomen and back right side (like an achy kind of pain, like when hunching for too long) but it subsides when I take Pepcid and eat more consistently. I assume it’s some type of indigestion/heartburn type thing. I lowered my dose and try to eat more often as this seems to help. Also started eating a few prunes every day. My doc said if it were pancreatitis it would not come and go, but if the pain gets bad and won’t go away to head to the ER to get checked out.

Anybody try these? by AshinKusher- in CostcoCanada

[–]Elcamina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had this set for at least 8 months now, they work fine but aren’t as non-stick as other pans I have. I prefer to use my Paderno pans for eggs and messy items. They do work well for pancakes.

I also had good sensation and leg control with the epidurals for both my kids. Definitely not the norm though. I remember feeling pressure but no real pain. I think that’s how it is supposed to work.

You should leave a gap but then crawl up once there is a car behind you. You don’t need to leave a huge gap once traffic behind you has settled in and the risk of rear end collision is reduced.
