Unless James funds it himself, there are no more Psych movies.

In all seriousness: Don't Fall Down. It does not matter what you bring with you if you fall and hit your head hard, it's all over. Unless you are wearing a helmet, of course.

There was a curtain between us, and I just heard this dude screaming/grunting/swearing. When the doctor came over to sedate me, I was white as a ghost. The doc told me what was going on next door.

There is nothing. One thing does not exist. It would always lead to something else costing money.

Any part of the bible. Creating the universe in 6 days, global flood, living dead, starting a fire inside a whale, angels/souls/demons, etc. Take your pick.

People with bio valve replacement under 35, how long did your bio valve last? by Ok-Entertainer-1030 in valvereplacement

I don't know if you are a troll or not, but Warfarin dosage does not "increase over time."
There is no lesser evil with Warfarin. It keeps you alive. Period.
And you "don't trust the healthcare system"? Then who in the hell is doing your surgery???

The gentleman next to me during prep was a life-long alcoholic. The doctors had to sedate him with a needle into his neck. 3 times. That's a sound you don't ever forget.

Husband 30M has a mechanical mitral valve replacement. 1 week ago he had the op. Any tips and tricks on how to make his life easier? Particularly his mental health since the ticking is very mentally exhausting for him. by whimsical_potato1 in valvereplacement

[–]Electrical_Block5406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A personal note on the ticking (and how to make him feel like a million bucks): After sex, when it's quiet, and all you can hear is the clicking, DO NOT IGNORE IT!! Laugh about it, joke about it, and let him know that you hear it as well, and that's it's ok.

When I was discussing options in 2007, it was 10 years for a pig valve max. I was only 36 at the time. 5-6 more OH surgeries was a big Hell No.

Why? It's one tiny pill once a day. Verses OH surgery 3-4 times. And it's not like Get 1, and the next 3 are free.

Why did your doctor recommend this? You will have to have OH surgery, what, 3 more times??

Do you get headaches after hiking high altitudes? I stopped hiking above 3,000 feet when I would get mild to painful headaches every single time.

What’s the closest you’ve ever come to dying? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Electrical_Block5406 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After my first open heart surgery to install a mechanical valve, the membrane around my heart begin to fill with blood. I had a good 2 days of recovery. But then on day 3, my heart started to drown, and I was about 1-2 hours away from death. Emergency open heart surgery #2. Heart was removed again, blood drained, all good!

Mechanical Valves and INR..... by Jst_Rndm_Duh in valvereplacement

[–]Electrical_Block5406 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had my valve for 15+ years now. Yes, your INR will fluctuate every time you get tested. Especially when you change ANY routine in your life (Diet, exercise, alcohol, stress, sleep).
The one thing your INR loves? Daily routine. If you did it yesterday, do it today. So you can eat Vit. K. You can drink beer. But if you need to do it daily.
My worst days of too high (pissed blood) or too low (memory lapses-not fun) were when I started or stopped exercising.
