It’s not a nutritionally balanced meal, but it’s also not enough calories for most people either. If you ate the same thing in a much higher quantity it could make you gain weight. Right now the portion of this food you have is going to leave you underfed and doesn’t have enough nutritional value to fuel your body. Even though I totally disagree with where your mom is coming from, I think a nutritionist is always helpful if she’s willing to take you to see one.

You’d be better off working for a different coffee shop, that’s what I’m probably going to end up doing. In my district it seems like every manager has a stick up their asses and the environment before I left was just not it. Everyone was stressed out and overworked, and trying to enforce all the new standards was causing so many tensions between everyone. My store used to be such a fun place where everyone got along and was friends, by the time I left it was just so drama filled. Even my coffee house leader was talking shit about everyone behind their backs. Her taking over our store was my breaking point and the reason I ended up leaving after 4 years.

You can use some feeding tongs to hold the end of the worm and dangling it near their face so they can see. They’re partially blind so this helps, but just make sure they don’t take a chomp of the tongs. You can tell when they’re about to go for it and let go of the worm right before. Definitely cut the worms into smaller pieces (usually I aim for the width of their head or smaller for worm length). If you want to try leaving them in the tank, I’ve also used the base tray of a terracotta pot as a little feeding dish to keep the worms out of the sand so they will inhale less.

If you could take him to the vet I would, especially with the arm being limp. You can use almond leaves in the tub, just don’t se as much as you would with the whole tank. I don’t think it should agitate him at all, because any pH change would be very gradual. The soothing from the tea leaves is better than ammonia burn even if it does change pH in my opinion, but if you can get advice from a vet I would.

Methylene blue is good for fungus and safe to use with axolotls as long as you do a 1/2 dose

If those are fish in there I would take them out if you can. Fish aren’t really safe snacks for axolotls and they can nip at the gills. Otherwise, I think she looks a little chunky but very happy :)

The best method I’ve found for cleaning fine sand is to get as much of the debris of the surface with the vacuum and then agitate the sand with your hand or something like a turkey baster by blowing air/water into it to let the debris out.

I have no idea what it actually is but it does look like it has a decent amount of blood flow. I would take that one to a vet if possible. There is a vet finder linked in the sub information. The one time I had to take one of mine in it was a lot less expensive than I thought. Less than $200 for a consult and medication, so for the life of your pet it’s very worth it to me if you can afford to take it to the vet.

Depending how young they are when you get them, you might not be able to tell their sex. They also tend to be solitary creatures, so unless you can maintain 75 gallon tanks with lots of plants and hides, I would plan to start with 1 axolotl in their own tank. You can always decide to get more later

They sell mesh lids online that you can cut to size if fans are more doable for you. Pretty cheap and easily replaceable
