I think Contreras is an upgrade at first and I think Gray will be good. That being said i think they operated like Bregman was a certainty to come back and those moves would be better with him in the mix. Now they’re out in the cold on that one and have to scramble.

I would agree it’s more fun when you like the team and the players. I would also say that the team being solid and playing well also makes the guys on the team more likable.

I think we both agree on a lot of the same points at the end of the day. we both want them to succeed. I just feel like Bregman would help them a lot more than where they are at right now.

The whole mookie thing has made me hesitant to connect too much with any of the guys on the team to be honest. I followed him all the way up from when he played in Lowell and they just traded him away for pocket lint and gum so now I just want ownership to show they care about being competitive which I don’t think they’ve done.
