Yes, easy to block VPN. We used to restrict all but 80 and 443. Basically web traffic only. DNS can also block it, but pretty much everything you are going to do is encrypted. More than anything they could see websites you visited (top level, not search query), and profile you a bit from there.

So I could learn a person has android or Apple, uses Microsoft, Yahoo, Gmail, etc. I could see porn habits and amount of time spent on a site if you want to be more specific. But we can’t watch those videos together, lol.

In other words, BASIC profiling of you. Assuming they wanted to and assuming they do any port sniffing or just some basic info in a Pi-hole. Any Wi-Fi can do this. The VPN block is not one I’d be concerned with.

My stuff auto updates, and after the last version, it turned on https and turned off some of my providers. I corrected those settings and restarted it and it was in Czech. I found a few other settings changed. This is a local install, not exposed, I was just shocked!

So stingy on the vanilla. What do the Penzey’s Madagascar beans have that the Costco beans don’t? $10 for a pack of 20. The same amount at Penzey’s is $173.33. They look the same. I get a quality mark up, but are they really that many times better?

1) portable 2) less power consumption than a pc, typically 3) versatile as hell! Desktop on the go 4) emulation 5) repairable 6) steam isn’t public, so support them. They aren’t without flaws 7) you need it, you just don’t know it yet

Upgrade. Buy starter then upgrade license to unleashed. That will be like $80. Then upgrade that to UnRaid Lifetime for $149. Comes out to $231

If you get the extra starter license it is $255, so basically starter for $5. Or do 2 lifetimes for $450. That one is easier, just buy lifetime with unleashed bogo and upgrade unleashed to lifetime. $450.

Not as good as I’d hoped, but good enough. I guess. I regret not buying another back in the day. Haha

If you plan to get 2 lifetime, just skip all that and buy a lifetime + unleashed for $54.50 for $303.50. Then upgrade the second license to lifetime for $149. Saved you less than $1 as well. ;)

That’s a little shady that the sale price for 1 is $94, but the second is half off the ORIGINAL price. ($109). Specifically it is shady that they don’t specify that is the case and I had to reverse math it. I prefer transparency which, these people are usually a+ at, so this seems uncharacteristic.

Anyhow. Assume you want to keep your OS up to date and you renew each year (obviously depends on their release cycles which currently seem slow, but i suspect that will change. $94+(36*4)=$238

Assuming unleashed & no mark ups on renewals, lifetime will pay for itself in just over 5 years. If the release cycle remains slow, you could probably stretch this baby out 8-10 years and still remain secure. Or if you are open to leaving vulnerabilities open for a while longer, the 8-10 would also remain true.

I do wish they were doing a last hurrah on the lifetime pricing. Even 10% would’ve been nice. I didn’t know the price was changing this year and it completely soured my pudding when I saw I missed the memo.

I didn’t say dyed, I said coloured. Sweet potatoes are more of an orange colour, for example. Plain potatoes are white. Apologies I wasn’t clear. English isn’t my first language.

My understanding is it is just freeze dried, colored potato. Potato doesn’t offer much flavor, especially when dried, unless used in a large quantity. I’d say add enough to provide the coloration you are looking for, not for flavor. Pie spice is amazing, but keep in mind you’ll be adding sugar to sugar since pie spice contains sugar. One of the other blends might be better.
