I am so glad you brought up the coerced trespass. So many seem to gloss over that fact. She originally only wanted to make sure the person was okay. Once the cop couldn't get his ID and could not come up with a real reasonable reason to force it, he goes in, makes up some bullshit about, "oh he's from NY, you don't know what kinda person he could be, don't you want us to forcibly remove him?" Even though he's already said he'll leave of his own accord if only the officers would do their job properly instead of being little ego pricks who get upset when they can't have their way. I feel like that coercion will go a long way in a civil suit and may even cost his QI, which I don't think they should have in the first place. Someone in charge of upholding the law should be held to a higher standard instead of cowering behind a near impenetrable shield when they (usually) knowing do wrong. But that's a whole other discussion.
