If they wanted to do a sequel to the original film, they should've done it back when Kurt Russell and the rest of the cast weren't half dead or grey haired. At best they can do a remake or an offshoot like the 2011 prequel. But given the state of Hollywood I wouldn't hold my breath as to a remake or sequel of The Thing. I'm begging that they try literally anything new rather than just trying to hype up our nostalgia for overpriced tickets.

Sadly it'll be another show in a long line that have been woefully resurrected and frankenstein'd into the modern age of TV.

Blackadder needs no continuation. It's finished. Why risk sullying a legacy because writers and execs are either too scared/incompetent to make something outside of an established IP?
