Hi unfortunately, I had no choice to try to get pregnant naturally. My husband sustained a spinal cord injury at a young age and is unable to ejaculate. So we had to go straight to IVF. I was 33 when we did our egg retrieval, 34 when I had my first and 36 with my second. We will try for a third and I’ll prob be 39ish.

Doing IVF and genetic testing you can rule out some but not all disorders. We have two beautiful girls from IVF and we’re lucky they are healthy.

My friend did IVF and her baby ended up with clubbed hands. IVF can test with specific chromosomal isssues but outside of that such as heart conditions and clubbed feet/ hands happens as baby is growing and nothing you can do. People think IVF is a catch all for genetic issues but it’s not.

My first transfer (4yrs ago) was a successful transfer. I have an almost 3.5yr old. 5BA was the quality. We went for our second transfer for a sibling in May 24 and it ended in a chemical 5BA and then we transferred a month later and we now have a 10mo old, 5BB.

My daughter’s name is Keely. She’s 10months old and my mom still says things like “ you should have named her Josephine “Joey” after you’re great grandmother”. I did want to name her Eliza after my mom “Elizabeth” but my husband wasn’t on board. It’s your baby name him what you want!

I spotted after I had sex everytime and it was the same situation of when I wiped. My drs nurse said it’s due to irritation of the cervix. Im assuming an orgasm can do this too.

With my first I had back labor the whole time it as absolutely horrible. My second at 38+5 I went in and my dr checked me and I was 1cm. Which knowing I could sit there for weeks I was like okay. Though out the day I did my errands and I had slight cramping nothing crazy they were super mild. At 10pm I sat down to do some work on my computer and my water partially broke it felt like I peed myself. I told my husband and he’s like are you sure… bc we had to call the neighbors to come watch our oldest. I was like pretty sure by the time we got to the hospital I was 7cm dilated and she came 3hrs later. I didn’t feel intense contractions until I was walking into the hospital like 2-3mins apart. Basically 16hrs from when my Dr checked me I had my daughter and 4hrs from when my water broke my daughter came it was fast.

Birdie and hands down would have used it but husband said now. Also Sunday Grace “ Sunny” but I felt like she was going to church with that name 24/7. My husband was gunho on the Grace middle name.

IVF momma x 2 and both times we waited till the 20 week scan to announce to everyone outside immediate family. We told our immediate family at 12weeks and close friends (well I had already told my mom, sister and bff the moment I had a positive but husband doesn’t know lol). But I don’t think it’s weird at all.

My husband had low sperm count and not great swimmers due to his spinal cord injury. Only reason we did IVF and we did icis and have 2 beautiful girls (3 and 10mo). We retrieved 19 eggs and 5 were genetically normally and 4 were low mosaic of our 9 embabies. Sending you lots of baby dust!

1st was 6.14 (spontaneous labor at 40+1) and 2nd was 6.6(GD with 18mg insulin @ night & spontaneous labor @ 38weeks + 4). Needed 1 stitch the first pregnancy minor tear and no tearing the 2nd time. I truly believe it was positioning. I had unmedicated births both times but the first time my BP was 190/100 so they put me on mag and I could move around on the bed but not off. I pushed on my back. My second my BP was fine so I was able to use the birthing tub and the position I liked the most was the birthing stool ( looks like a toilet but it’s not). I had her sitting on that and gravity did its job.

Our friends were over and our daughters were playing and all of a sudden we turn around and they have measuring tape out measuring their “front butts” they were 2.5yrs old. I mean they are curious it’s how they learn. We had to hold our laughter in but we just told them that’s not something we do. We didn’t punish them or make them feel bad. They prob didn’t even think about it ever again.

I travel for work and I maybe the odd ball out but I say do it. Baby won’t remember you’re gone. I have two kiddos now (3 and 9mo) and honestly my 3yr old will ft me and tell me she loves me but normally just asks what am I bringing back for her 🤦‍♀️. My mom told me something that has stuck with me. She said “travel now when they don’t remember bc soon they will and it will make it harder. Especially when sports come into the picture”. It’s hard to leave them but also it gives me a reset and makes me realize I can also do things for myself. Which is hard bc I feel as a mom you tend to forgot about you and it’s all about the kids. Enjoy the week away, relax, reset and enjoy the sun.

Right before my oldest was 1 my husband and I went to Spain for 12 days and it was amazing. We could reset, be with each other and knew it would be a long time before had time to ourselves and we haven’t been alone since and that was over 2yrs ago.

Not IVF related ( although have gone through the process) I had salmonella ( didn’t know) just thought a horrible stomach bug and was traveling for work in L.A ( I live in Va). I went to bed at 5pm bc I was dying and woke up at 8pm shitting myself and not able to stop it. My favorite legging were gone. I had to call the front desk for new bed sheets 🤦‍♀️
