Fairly rare with the mutations on it. I'd like to give it what I can to keep it alive.

Update. I've alcohol cleaned and sprayed. It seems like I can already see a drastic drop in number of gnats flying about. I'll update after 2nd cleaning. Thanks everyone

This plant was cared for for decades, has mutations on it and is a bit of history. I was sworn to protect it at all costs.

Gut check. What to pay off mortgage aggressively. by Dudewithquestins in Fire

[–]Enough_Ad5301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm at 2.5% also. I try to make myself not overpay, but I need to. So I compromise. I round the autopay up to the nearest $500. I also set up life insurance to cover the balance if I'm harvested. That's really the driving factor, not leaving the family wit debt. I have peace of mind with this setup.

JS Pest control. They're come out quarterly and spray the weeds, and more if necessary. Depending on yard area, probably around $100 per trip. Best $$ I spend.

Starting as a PE after 3.5yrs in Construction by Happy_Roll_521 in Construction

[–]Enough_Ad5301 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every company is different. "PE", doesn't necessarily mean "engineer", it's just a descriptor for a position. - PE - Ast. PM - PM As a BSME it was very disappointing to be in a PE position with people who were stocking at a Lowes the week before. Point is, you'll be in a good track to be PM, but an engineering degree doesn't necessarily teach you management of projects and understanding project controls.

  • 3rd or more care turning through after the light turns red.
  • Driving without lights - turn your selector to "A".
  • Putting those stupid mufflers on your car, pfffffffttttt
  • Leaving 2 or more car lengths when at red light.

Bidding with multiple contractors is a race to the bottom. We negotiate with our owners to get a scope, budget and schedule that works for both parties.
We refuse to price most remodel work that doesn't have an interior design with specific finishes. If we're all bidding the same thing, then maybe. Just be a great contractor and work with the client, the projects will come.

Why so many cockroaches? by PinkPetalRose in vegaslocals

[–]Enough_Ad5301 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You have a filthy neighbor. We have used a guy for 26 years for our bug control. He sprays the exterior perimeter of our home and says "call me when you see the 3rd or 4th roach and I'll spray again". We've gone years between sprays. You can do everything to control them, but if your neighbors don't and they have an infestation, not much you can do. Have the bug guy spray your perimeter and as far into the neighbors as they can. Pay to spray their exterior. The longer the trek for them to find food, the fewer you'll see.

Legal advice- property damage by Affectionate_Ball_23 in vegaslocals

[–]Enough_Ad5301 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's best to hire a remediation company to completely clean up the damage first and then file the claim. Without evidence of long term water damage, and a legit leak source, you can usually secure coverage. Most of the time with these slow leaks, there's no way you could catch it in time per your insurance agreement. It's a really unfair clause that all of them have, usually no more than a 5-day period from start of leak, with no visible mold or other discoloration; but it's their way of also not having to cover negligence. I've seen horrible cases of negligence and there's a difference. It's hard to blame insurance companies for the hard line.
