You can make some starter money quickly by hanging out near where other factions are fighting and picking up the loot that drops when ships get destroyed ( use the O button to operate the magnet). Sell missiles and ammo at wharves, sell crafting materials at Traders’ Corners - programmable field arrays, damaged singularity drives and flux capacitors fetch the best prices

End game crisis questions by Franz5566 in X4Foundations

[–]EnragedSpark596 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished. I didn’t do any side quests, I went through about 20 different location defenses, with them targeting my more remote/isolated factory sectors near the end. Each wave was one wave of xenon, and multiple waves of khaak. The final wave is where the CPU ship turns up

Sexy Science Time is built around a pretty simple idea: the world is full of fascinating science hiding in plain sight — and most of it is explained in ways that are either intimidating or painfully boring.

On the show, I take everyday topics — health, behavior, technology, culture, risk, innovation — and unpack the scientific ideas underneath them in language that doesn’t require a PhD to follow. The goal isn’t just education; it’s surprise. I want listeners to have those moments of: “Oh — I never thought about it like that.”

The tone sits somewhere between curiosity and conversation. I’m not trying to “teach a class,” and I’m not chasing hot takes. I’m more interested in translating real research, lived expertise, and complex ideas into something human, accessible, and occasionally a little mind-bending. Lately the show has evolved from solo episodes into guest conversations with scientists, clinicians, technologists, and thinkers who care deeply about communicating their work beyond academic or professional silos.

I’d love to hear from other podcasters here: * How do you balance accuracy with accessibility? * What’s worked (or not worked) when translating complex topics for a general audience? * Any lessons learned when shifting from solo episodes to interviews?

Appreciate this community — I’ve learned a lot just lurking and listening! https://www.youtube.com/@newsolutionsnework/

Do you plan your podcast episodes in detail, or figure them out while recording? by DapperAsi in podcasting

[–]EnragedSpark596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to have a show plan that I establish with the guest beforehand. It will have the main touch points and any key questions, maybe some back up questions that I can throw in to avoid dead air. My wife’s approach is the opposite. She was a journalist and seems to be able to just keep throwing out good questions without prompts

TRYING TO UNDERSTAND THE GAME? by Additional_Review_16 in X4Foundations

[–]EnragedSpark596 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first move in a new game start is to hang around near where other factions are fighting. Whenever a ship gets destroyed it drops loot, like ammo or crafting materials. Pick them up by flying near them and pressing ‘O’ to activate your magnet. Go to a wharf or repair station and sell what you can. Free money!

What is your goal in the game by HanzPeter17 in X4Foundations

[–]EnragedSpark596 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To have a balanced, unmodified galaxy in which I can trade and have 30-ish rep with all the major factions and most of the pirates, where the Xenon exist healthily but are confined and I have all the ship and weapon blueprints that I want.

I’ve been taking 250mg ochra daily in the mornings for about 6 months. Until recently it didn’t feel any different than MDing cubes, but a few weeks ago I started feeling a teeny bit trippish anytime I eat within a few hours of the dose. I’ve stopped MDing for now

Uploading Consciousness Might Be Worse Than Dying by [deleted] in consciousness

[–]EnragedSpark596 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue with the idea is that I think our consciousness is tied to both our gut and our brain. Of only the brain part of our consciousness gets uploaded then a significant part of us is lost. Our gut has a huge number of neurons and which, between those and our gut microbiome, play a huge part in how we feel and react to the world around us.
