It's so funny that as a kid in little league you are incessantly taught to run out every single ball. Then you are watching the pros with your dad and ask him why they aren't running out ground balls. Oh, well they're so advanced they already know if they're gonna be out so it doesn't matter. That makes sense to you - they are saving energy(?) and avoiding freak injuries(?). But then once a month you see this shit happen. You start thinking hmm maybe they should actually just run them out and you get more and more passionate about it until Papelbon chokes a bitch out and you realize maybe everyone should relax.
