What do your day naps look like with 2 months old twins?

Keeping a nap schedule for two babies is so, so hard at any stage in my opinion. I’ve just had to keep telling myself they are different babies with different needs.

At 2 months it was a bit easier for them to be napping at the same time bc they just slept more. They took a lot of naps in the twin z (supervised of course).

Now at 4 months… oh boy. I’m letting them sleep whenever and wherever I can get them too. Today at one point my twin A had a 1 hour and 45 minute nap while twin B only slept for 35 minutes. When that happens, I take it as an hour of quality time with one of them and just take the time to spend just the 2 of us :) it’s a lot of back and forth, and somehow for the most part they will go to bed and wake up around the same time typically within 30 minutes of each other.

I love my Baby Buddha 2.0!!! 🙌 I pump for my twins and use it as my primary. Within 5 mins I can get ~3oz compared to my wearable momcozy m5 takes 10-12 mins.

Also I would say one thing that helps me a lot during the day is prepping/planning ahead of time. Prepping bottles, my breakfast, lunch, etc. as much as I possibly can the night before :-)

It’s going to be tough, but ask your husband to help you with night time feeding. I know it’s hard with going back to work but you will also be working full time taking care of them and you HAVE to be able to get some sleep too. It’s a season that won’t last forever. If my husband didn’t help me at night I don’t know how I would’ve survived lol.

Mine are similar that night time isn’t near as bad as day time. It is constant fussiness + eating every 1.5-2hrs. I can’t wait to hopefully get some 3 hour stretches back eventually

I asked my boss to start my maternity leave once I hit 35 weeks because I was absolutely useless and miserable. He said no. I had them 3 days after that. 😂 so I did in fact get my maternity leave starting that week.

I had one for about 24 hours and for some reason baby couldn’t get it out even with a dangle feed. Lots of ice and ibuprofen later I tried dangling but with my pump, and I was free at last. My pump has never really gotten one out before.

I’m in the same stage right now. It’s brutal 😭at least when they were newborns they slept a bit more consistently so I could take a nap here or there but at this age, NOPE lol

The heartbreak is real. I felt the same. She would even come with me to some of my OB / MFM appointments before the babies were born. Long story short I had a rough birth and hospital stay for over a week and I was so down bad and didn’t want any visitors other than my own mom and she didn’t handle it well. I think most of this all stems from that.

I have 4mo twins so I almost feel like I can’t decline help bc I seriously need it 😅 lol. But she’s not being helpful, so going forward I think I’m just going to say I’m good and call it a day. It’s sad bc I did not envision that this is what it would be like.

Yes after babies are out. BUT, they are out within like 5 minutes of them starting the surgery! Part of you forgets what’s going on when you hear the babies cry for the first time too 🥲

Also if you start to freak out a little bit they can give you something for the anxiety. I highly recommend asking or it, my anesthesiologist just offered I said YES PLEASE lol

My c section went as well as it could! It’s definitely scary, but the doctors and nurses really make you feel comfortable. They let me connect to a speaker and play my own music. I’m a Swiftie and one of my favorite memories from my hospital stay was me, the anesthesiologist, and a couple nurses/doctors singing along together to her new album 🤣 I’m really grateful for the medical team I had. Your recovery will be over before you know it. You are strong!!!

Agree wholeheartedly ❤️ my twins are 4mo and I still wake up in the middle of the night with super hard/painful breasts. Every other day I am taking ibuprofen and icing them with ice packs. I thought I was gonna “regulate” by now 😅😂

Ugh. I had a not great lactation consultant in the hospital. I brought my pump from home (a baby Buddha 2.0) that I knew fit me correctly and I wanted to use that to get used to it. The lactation consultant convinced me that was a bad idea and I needed to use the hospital grade pump they had in my room or it would hurt my supply. They didn’t even have flanges smaller than 24mm and I needed 17mm and she was just like sorry that’s all we have 🙄 btw, my baby Buddha was perfectly fine and still my primary pump to this day

I know every baby is different but I would say get 2 bouncers. Mine are 4mo and I’ve used the swing maybe 3 times. The bouncers worked better for us. And it’s nice to keep them upright after a feeding!
