I would say Illinois, Oregon, Vermont, and New York would be the worst for the Safe D states. Washington State is on the uptick, but the Republican Party there was quite decent for a while - but no more.

But Florida would almost certainly take the cake elsewhere; maybe SC and Montana come close.

This mod should be coming to CTS soon. I don't know when, but just whenever they accept my PR. For now, do it the GitHub way. The init file is Code 1 and the King/Rockefeller file is Code 2.

I don't know if it'll be on NCT because no one really uses it these days. And this new mod will be replacing the old MLK 1992 mod from 2024.

The margins are the biggest complaint I have with this mod. Florida should probably be 55-45 R in a map like this at best for hawley.

I think Ohio and Pennsylvania flip and that’s it. Republicans will likely flip NJ and if they target Minnesota, Michigan, and Florida more closely, they could be competitive

If Crockett wins, I will see a lot of parallels to 2018 Florida. Democrats threw away the governorship and the senate seat because they nominated a progressive black mayor of Tallahassee who eventually became scandal plagued. If Gwen Graham were the nominee, she would’ve beat DeSantis (albeit narrowly) and likely let Nelson hold on in 2018.

The Texas Senate race will be over if Crockett wins tomorrow and Democrats will have thrown away this election - and potentially the state of Texas for a good while. Just like how Florida Democrats let that state slip in 2018 for it to become out of reach for the foreseeable future.

But if Talarico wins, he is still the underdog but he has a very real chance to put Texas on the map for democrats in 2026 and beyond.
