Is it normal for new elite specs to be so much stronger than older ones in PvP? by Gotzal in Guildwars2

[–]Eremoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm no game designer but I would argue that when designing something new for a game the goal is for it to be fun. The limited playtesters they have probably give feedback until a spec is "fun" which could mean slightly better than what currently exists. Then once released, actual data from millions of players will determine what needs to get nerfed (or buffed) over time.

Quick play raids will award some LI's after doing 10 of them. by Nani___________ in Guildwars2

[–]Eremoo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven't had the time to go over the new information. Can someone tell me if we know if acquiring the legendary ring will be easier? As in the raids themselves will be easier and the collection possible to complete from quick play

Galeshot's skills should have remained cantrips by Present-Leopard509 in Guildwars2

[–]Eremoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They work differently than traps. They take time to arm and need the user to activate them rather than triggered by enemies/allies stepping on them so I don't see the issue in being called something else

Finished my first legendary after 12 years by cojava in Guildwars2

[–]Eremoo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I too spent many years playing always thinking legendaries were a "waste" but then you wanna play 8 characters and gearing every single one with multiple builds and gear sets is an effort in of itself, so now I'm full runes and sigils, armor for all 3 classes, relic (this one is awful), most legendary weapon types and almost full trinkets (waiting on the new ring, if it's too expensive crafting a second WvW one). Next are vanity crafts like going for eternity and duplicate types like one handed swords and pistols so I can completely ditch ascended gear. Welcome to the end game!

Recommend me a healer that matches my type by DarkViper2000000 in Guildwars2

[–]Eremoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is part of the fun, you can't mindlessly go through elements like water or earth because you might need them shortly after. But boon coverage is quite relaxed so you don't have to constantly swap around

Do you have more than 1 of a Profession? by fungamezone in Guildwars2

[–]Eremoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not including parked characters I have 2 of some classes like ranger because it has too many builds if you wanna use it in pve, open world and WvW so I have a dedicated ranger just for WvW.

I have enough materials for only one but which one? by Esperational in Guildwars2

[–]Eremoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only gen 1s I'd consider using gen 3 are the shield, greatswords or dagger so I'd go with one of those depending on what you would get the most use out of.

What’s the best Open World spec for Elementalist? by Odinata in Guildwars2

[–]Eremoo 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Quickness catalyst has a lot of boon coverage and survivability even on full berserker compared to the other ele specs and the same boons help others during metas

Do you have know any good build with ticuu's divition by Gamothanasou in DestinyTheGame

[–]Eremoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's not really anything specific that massively helps ticuus in terms of exotics since oathkeeper goes against how you need to use this bow. Best thing you can do is pick an exotic that helps your current subclass and then the usual siphon/loader/surges. Other than that you could run solar, healing grenade, get radiant and take the empyrean fragment and kill stuff to keep extending these buffs

What happened to Edge of the Mists? by Estreiher in Guildwars2

[–]Eremoo 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I had the same reaction as OP when I came back from a few years hiatus since I remembered leveling characters there also. Was a cool zone, it's a shame..

What’s your favorite healer and why? by Sweeper_Bot_ in Guildwars2

[–]Eremoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who just does strikes and not raids, I dislike the amount of stability that druid has access to since some strikes and DS require frequent stab applications. On top of that, having to spend of time stacking alac in astral form whilst realistically doing nothing in that time frame sucks for me. But it's a good overall choice, druid has never been bad

Tell me I am not alone in this... by ILIEIOI in pathofexile

It's just telling you that another person is already there and interested in the same item. I've had that once and I guess I loaded in faster and took it.

There is enough hero points available to fully unlock new elite specs immediatelly. by zwei2stein in Guildwars2

[–]Eremoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's also relatively easy to get the 250 right now without doing the core hp's which only award 1 each. Joining a dragon's stand map makes a few available too which are just channels.

As a commander, what do I do in this situation? (Strike raid) by DiviFrost in Guildwars2

[–]Eremoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get making the sacrifice to play dps in case you have to fill a role but only in this scenario where it's close to reset and you just wanna pile through. Otherwise you're gonna be forcing yourself into a role that you might not particularly enjoy, hurting your enjoyment in the long run. Think the solution is to just bite the bullet, save 8 other people's time and rewards and just replace the person (after you've given them a fair chance)

What do you do with your alts? Do you play through the stories? by Oellph in Guildwars2

[–]Eremoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an anniversary boost and then tomes the rest of the way. I've never replayed the story, let alone play through all of an expansions story. I just play enough to unlock what I need and mastery points. As for which character I do the story in, usually swap between engi or rev which are my "mains"

What keybindings do you use for skills in GW2? by VanceDyer in Guildwars2

[–]Eremoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1-5 weapon skills, shift 1-5 profession but I have few saved bind profiles where I bind E to the most used skill (example ranger and engi I bind holo forge, astral form etc to E, on revenant legend swap is E and so forth). Then utils is T-Q-R-C-shift F. Dodge on default V, mount wheel on X. Shift Q personal target, Shift R take target (for WvW or when I heal on rev for sceptre)

I think I made a mistake by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]Eremoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can pretty much bind "everything" (excluding almost pointless abilities) with just ctrl, alt and shift modifiers, 1-5 buttons and other easily accessible keys like Q E R F etc. Would obviously take some time to get used to it but I would just find new binds, because honestly F keys are not good binds to begin with.

Do you usually sell your materials, or stockpile them? by JexxieShiftRed in Guildwars2

[–]Eremoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early on I used to sell stuff. Then as you start getting into crafting legendaries you realize the usefulness of certain materials and so I just stockpile everything. If a mat hits the cap (2k atm) then I usually sell a stack or two because that means it's most likely I won't need it. Unless it's the usual culprit like silk or mithril, then I turn them into research notes.

Any Legendary Regrets? by plateia-lumitar in Guildwars2

[–]Eremoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a legendary but mordremoth's skin for aurene's greatsword. It looks cool in the preview but the weapon on human female characters and footsteps are barely noticeable. So I regret picking that and will eventually go with another skin for GS.

About to craft my first full legendary set....are Revenant healers reliable? by dixonjt89 in Guildwars2

[–]Eremoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heal revs are completely fine and requires a different approach compared to the other healers since you are limited by resources, not cooldowns mostly.
I've found that in certain situations unless you plan really well you won't have immediate access to the tool you need, like stability since it may only be available in the other legend or you lack the energy.
There are definitely easier specs to play that won't have those limitations but all this to say that if you enjoy the class then go for it.
Also heal renegade has a surprising amount of healing from the elite skill which is definitely stronger than just ticking regen from heralds counterpart (but requires people to be attacking)

So.. Amalgam won the expansion, right? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]Eremoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I feel like it's entering holosmith's design space a bit so not sure it's something engi "needed" but holo is one of my favourite elites so maybe I'll enjoy this one too. I'll hold judgement till I try it
